I ran at the dyno where delicious does all their tuning.

Black line - Richard
Mods - Kamak header, brz zorst, drop-in filter, Delicious tune

Red line - Me
Mods - Borla header, brz exhaust, takeda intake, NO TUNE

Same day, same dyno, richard 15min or so after.




Looks like this one is working. Would be interesting to see this tune up on the reef.

Now those are proper gains and the torque dip is gone!! Seems like having tuned Ken Block's Gymkana Impreza counts for something...

Must also mention this was the first trial on Stage 2 V6.3, @DeliciousTuning is busy with updating power, based on our logs taken on the dyno.

I am have very little knowledge of tuning, but since everyone is throwing in their 10 cent coins,
Here is mine:

• There are a number of issues here, but the theme of this thread looks like it’s going in the correct direction and people have good intensions, Ie. A local tune that’s affordable and ‘Developing’ to world standards.

There’s nothing much more that can be said.

In terms of cashing dyno’s numbers, its a Fugazi, Fugazi. It’s a wazy. It’s a woozie. Its fairy dust.

BUT I would like point out the following:

@sav – insulting customers of Phoenix performance that you DONT know… won’t get you anywhere in life.

Whether it is a phantom tune or not, what does it matter to you?

As you made it clear that you would NOT get a tune on your 86, even if Ken Block came and tuned your car himself.

You make your personal vendetta against Marco the tuner at Phoenix Performance very clear, as such maybe you should share those “stories” as well.

FACT: Delicious Tuning ‘Bumble Bee’ came up to JHB - FR&R and took on GeeTee86, and the results were not much of a tune, more of a ‘multiplier’ tune
(They did NOT ELIMINATE TORQUE DIP on their FIRST MAP/Tune)

I cannot understand why didn’t you go and insult Ken Block(Tell him he is dreaming of placebo shit) and tell him the story of how you took your car to the carwash

Since then… Delicious Tuning improved their map and looks like they eliminated the torque dip…from Gt86’s Thread. Kudos to them, Hooray etc, But remember they were once at a similar stage of Phoenix Performance.(In terms of Torque Dip).

Everyone is not born brilliant like you Sir.

I look forward to seeing a local tuner… taking on one of the best tuners in the world. Delicious Tuning.

Personally I rather support the underdog , and support them… on taking on the world’s best,

I cannot comment on the gains from a tune and elimination of torque dip with Phoenix Performance, as I am only planning to get my UEL headers and tune done in May 2015.

(Unfortunately I do NOT want to pay R9k at the official Delicious Tuning agent in SA, RMS.
When I can get what I need for R3k-R5k at Phoenix Performance.
(I Just want that Torque dip gone man).
Don’t want Dyno Trophies.
