I strongly suggest our pre-welded OE oil pan $150, Kate Cool Oil Cooler Kit $600, Drift Armor Bar $150, and Open Flash Tablet Programmer $500.

Those are my workhorse items for almost every kit we sell these days.

The oil cooler makes a significant impact on oil Temps and if you're going to track the car, IMO, it's a must have.

OFT for the free tune, courtesy of Shiv @ Vishnu.

Oil Pan for those that don't have access to a welder.

Drift Armor bar for a clean, plug-n-play install without needing to modify your factory crash beam to fit the intercooler.

Here's the SBD Turbo Kit on EQ Tuning's shop BRZ in NorCal.

Happy to report no fans were melted that day!

Thunder Hill 12/1/14 Session 5 Lap 6 - fastest of the day.:

Moral of the story, buy a SBD Turbo kit, use our supplied heat wrap, and go drive your car.

Our kit is different from Greddy and should not be compared. This has been our position from day #1 of its introduction and the story hasn't changed.

Not trying to match your awesomeness....

Just wanted to share some footage of our kit on E85 running even more boost than the base kit allows

If you're interested in buying a kit, send me a PM as we do offer a dealer program.

However, the way you about going about things in our FB group is disrespectful at best and won't be tolerated.

I have zero issue with you tracking your own car on our turbo kit, if you want to "prove a point."

But be respectful of our customer base, we'll do the same for yours.

Pathetic.

I joined your FB group, and issued the challenge, per your post, and all you can do is delete my post and ban me from your group instead?

That's some confidence in your product there!

*edit*

Since the group is private, and the only admin is Chris Riggs, who clearly wants his FB group going in a certain direction, here's the gist of the post:

- I asked for a volunteer to show up to the 2nd round of 86CUP on Feb 28th at Buttonwillow Raceway park
- The volunteer's driver's fee would be covered by me
- I would drive the car for a few laps, with datalogging, and gopros, to 1. provide empirical evidence of heat management issues and 2. that there is no driver error in the case that the car breaks.

This was immediately responded to by a "why don't you buy your own kit to beat on" and a "why do you need to burn up someone else's tires".

My response was to offer a loaner set of tires and pads for the day, but the post had already been deleted.

So, we need someone in SoCal or NorCal to step up to the plate.

You bring your SBD equipped FRS/BRZ to Buttonwillow on Feb 28th, and I will:

- Supply you with tires for the day
- Supply you with brake pads for the day
- Pay your track entry fee

So that:

- I can drive (up to) 5 laps back to back to see if the car will survive.

You're trolling and I'm not going to deal with that shit from a fellow competitive vendor.....

Be respectful in how you conduct yourself, as your customer base is watching.

Since you just edited this post and changed the terms, that's more reasonable.

That's NOT what you originally posted, but your offer is reasonable if you agree to cover the wearable items.

It's up a customer to allow you to beat on their car

My customer base revolves around the no bullshit, track proven mentality.

The topic at hand, is regarding thermal issues with a front mounted turbo, and unfortunately, I accept hard evidence in the form of data logs and video, not marketing spin.
I just posted EQ Tuning's VIDEO RECORDED experience at the track and ZERO melted fans were reported.

I'm glad you're the self professed Jesus of the track, but EQ Tuning has provided us with video proof of the car's performance with the kit.....running even more boost and ethanol....which the base kit does not come with.

I'm not making any claims of what will or won't happen at 20 PSI, 25 PSI, 30 PSI.

We sell the kit with OFT, which runs 7.5 PSI base pressure. My claims are that the standard kit running wastegate pressure on the factory motor on pump gas......won't melt the fans on the track.

That's the extent of our testing, with some dealers choosing to push the kit even further on their personal vehicles.

I predict with 100% certainty that the fans will melt. The hot exhaust parts on a front mount turbo are just too close to the fans and after tracking for a few years now, I do know how hot turbo hot-side parts get (glowing red) after hot laps.

Not only that ... oil and coolant temps were a major problem on track with my FI'd 86 even with a perrin 13 row oil cooler. Upgraded that cooler to a unit that is more than double the perrin's capacity and things are stable now.

I am prepared to eat crow though. Let the test begin!

Thunder Hill 12/1/14 Session 5 Lap 6 - fastest of the day.:

Not bad. Just 3 seconds faster than a stock BRZ. Also 4 seconds slower than the regular Norcal86 Cup competition with stock NA bolt-ons, stock suspension, and 91 pump gas.

@WoOosOn drives 3 seconds FASTER than that with a 100% stock engine. On CA 91 octane.

Sorry, but that car is being babied on track. Understandably, to the general public, the car appears to be being driven hard, but the lap time indicates otherwise.

Now, to be fair, Woooson is probably a more experienced driver than EQ Tuning, but that goes to show how little the kit is being pushed in your videos.

Try again please.
