yup they found my car in Oakland. thankfully all they did was take it for a joy ride. no damage done except for a few missing possessions

Yeah just wondering if the owner is a member here. I was so worried when I saw a suv parked right beside it lol.

I park in spots like that all the time (although further back from the parking curb). I still care deeply about my car, but when it's my daily driver at the same time, shit happens. The underside of my front lip is absolutely thrashed, but nobody except me knows it's there (well, nobody but me and now everyone who reads this). I try and avoid cosmetic damage as much as I can, but it's going to happen and I'm ok with it. Hell, the VERY same day I brought it home, I had a gouge taken out of the paint on the hood by some road debris.

Do I love my car? Absolutely. Is it still an appliance that I rely on daily? Yep. That being the case, I haven't changed my daily routine on where I go, how I park, etc.
