A fair few people on the UK forums having issues.

It's a pretty natty drivetrain in all honesty, probably something we notice more in the UK given that the vast majority of people grow up using MT rather than Autos. Mines sort of fussy when cold, but no more than any other MT I've experienced.

Love this manual, probably the easiest one I've ever used. This week I finally got to see if I had the supposed 2nd gear crunch so many were saying happens when cold. Well it was -17C on Wednesday...no 2nd gear crunch for me. For me if anything, my 1st gear is more annoying to use in the cold but its fine if I'm at a full stop. I don't even have issues with the clutch pedal that others were having.

I get the crunch in 2nd and 5th from time to time. It does not matter if the transmission is warmed up or not.

The colder, the notchier. Sometimes it gets stuck between neutral and 2nd. 13k.

I know exactly what you're talking about with a cold 1st gear. It can be stiff sometimes. Being completely stopped is the safest way to get into 1st with a frozen gearbox. A couple of stops sign later, it should be non existent. 2nd gear is a cold "thunk" into place until warm. -21°C out in Waterloo the past week. Just be careful with gearbox and granny shift EVERYTHING till the car's got enough warmth. The key here is optimal operational temperature until the fun can ever begin. Who the hell rags on a cold car sports car? Fkcin sto0pid peepo.

Yup. Me too if I miss the upshift window. Give it a double clutch blip and let it sink into second. Zero effort.
