These cars do not seem to have stellar reliability, so I am glad I got a CPO car with the 7 year / 100K warranty.

Mine was made Nov 2012, purchased July 2014 -- so a year and a half old-- with 29K miles. $21.5K from a Toyota dealer.

Have a look at this guys you'll find it interesting. One US $= 3.67 dirhams, just divide the amount by 3.67 dirhams you get dollars.

Mileage in km not miles.

Converting local prices to US dollars does not indicate value (unless of course you are paying for the item at that location in US dollars).

A can of Coke may cost $1 in the US but $2 in Canada and $500 in Lower Slovia but there are thousands of factors involved in that price not a simple exchange to US dollars. Maybe in local purchasing power the $500 can of Coke actually costs the buyer the equivalent of $1 in their country.

It always surprises me when people do a straight currency exchange calculation and use that to say that things cost more elsewhere.

The local currency is tied to the dollar. You can find a pretty decent gt86 for 18,000$ to 22,000$ looks close to the prices being mentioned.

I'd be curious to see how the values of the FRS/BRZ hold up in say 5 years or so from now.

Sport cars have a notoriously high depreciation factor, but it being a Toyota it's quite possible that it will depreciate like any normal Toyota. So far the reviews on this car have been excellent whether it's the Toyota or the Subaru. What pisses me off though is that when I pull up somewhere in it people think I'm some rich kid when in reality it cost me as much as a Camry would. Never was into bling (Porsche, Ferrari etc) most of those owners wouldn't dare do half the things we do in these cars in case they scrape them You can drive a gt on a daily basis and use it like a Corolla to run errands etc ( sure not the most practical car due to two seater) and then when the opportunity arises it becomes a race car, personally for me it's everything I've ever wanted in a car, I can see myself driving this baby for many years and handing it down to my kid ( after I buy the new model)

I paid $17,000 for my WRB Subaru BRZ (wrong sub forum, sorry lol. But I think it shouldn't be divided). It had 19,xxx miles when I got it in September. Also came with a Perrin oil cooler and shark fin antenna installedx along with extra oem wheels on RE-71Rs. I think I got a nice deal...already 20k into it, between exhaust bolt on's, tail lights, and taxes/registration though...

I got mine from a good friend, and it is steal!

I got it for Php1.2m (around Usd25.5k), 5000km (3,125miles) mileage. Sticker price for a new 86 is roughly Php1.9m (around Usd 40.4k). This is for the top-end auto like mine. Got it in perfect condition (like new) with a few upgrades:
Rays gramlights 57extreme 18s
Toyo Proxes tires
KW v3 coilovers
TRD body kit
TRD Exhaust
TRD Chassis braces
TRD Strut tower brace
TRD Door latch
TRD Air filter
TRD Oil filter
TRD Oil and gas caps
Pioneer head unit (forgot the model)

ALL the stock parts are given to me, almost unused since all of the upgrades are dealer installed. Even the stock tires look unused.
No damages whatsoever, I didn't even notice swirl marks on the paint!
The only thing I don't like is the auto tranny. But with a deal like this, I can't complain!
