not sure if this has been covered/looked at but have you checked the sycro rings in the trans? seems like if its in the top 3 gears it could be trans related but as its been stated, cars vibrate, especially sports cars that are low to the ground.

Nope, haven't looked at or thought about the tranny being the issue since the vibration feels like it's coming from the right rear of the car. And to be honest, I'd rather not even ponder the possibility.

I wanted to change the fluids to motul, but my service advisor advised against it to avoid any potential warranty issues. I'm going to have them change the tranny and diff fluid at 2k miles.

So here's another mini update. I had a proper alignment done today, got everything to factory spec within a 10th of a degree. The feedback through the steering wheel and tires on the road feel a bit more silky...smoother.

But I still feel the vibration. The alignment guy said that it is probably a defective tire. I'm gonna rotate them in the near future and see if the vibration changes location.

Hi Stewie, Have you had any updates with this? I have had the same issue with mine since 1000kms, now at 16000kms. Have been back many times to dealer, tires have been rotated, diff oil was changed, diff was rebuilt. still no joy. The last time out to the dealer I got to take the service manager for a drive and he could feel the vibration. Left the car with them and service manager took regional technician for a drive and pointed it out to him and the response was "it's a characteristic of the car, nothing we can do". So I have emailed Toyota Australia the other night and am now awaiting a reply.
