Anyone else on Hercules RG2 ?

This is my first winter with my BRZ equipped with Hercules RG2 in Quebec winter. I haven't had the chance to try out different set of tires yet. Has anyone here tried other tires and how does the Hercules compare to top tier brands such as Blizzaks, Michelin, Nokian... etc.

Thanks for your input,
I really hope that I made the right decision following PMC Tires' recommendation

My brother-in-law got them on his Honda Fit (formerly my car). I drove it through a recent snow storm as well as wet slushy and icy conditions and it handled perfectly fine. Almost on-par with the Michelin X-Ice I have on the BRZ.

Good buy! A cheaper set of winter tires will still outperform the best all-season tires.

As long as said tires are for "snow and ice" I don't really think you can go wrong. I do run blizzak ws-70's on my BRZ. As alanhung85 said, they will be a lot better than all-season. Looking at that pdf though, the Hercules rate pretty damn high on the list. As long as you don't get too overconfident and be a little more careful (in regards to the other idiots on the road with all seasons), you will do just fine. And just a tip from my experience, if you need to get out of a parking space, turn OFF TC or you really won't go anywhere (severely limits throttle input if you are in deep stuff), and start from a stop in 2nd. It will help reduce wheelspin. Unless you are AT, then snow mode will do that for you. Good luck and have fun! With the right set of tires, winter is a blast in the BRZ =)
