I was using "we" meaning "the rest of the 1st world countries".
What some people like to call "American cultural imperialism" have had a huge impact since the 1950's.
IMHO it could easily have been worse. Russian movies, food, beverages and cars? Not nearly as fun.


Oh, and Norwegians are generally exited every time someone outside of Scandinavia acknowledges our mere existence :-)

Well, depends on your definition of seriously.
Most of the fun roads have a speed limit of 80 km/h (~50 mph) and you lose your license at 115. Below that it's just a heavy fine. A little faster and you risk going to a low security prison for a few weeks. With internet, TV and edible food (or so I am told. Never been that unlucky/stupid myself.)
