Also, you seem to really recommend that tape you used, but the link is dead... can you update the link or tell me what kind of tape that was?

Thanks!
It's 3m vinyl tape, 1/4 wide

Thanks for the info

@poorsche, couldn't you just warm the lights up a little bit to separate the lens from the rest of the housing instead of cutting the housing?

Thanks for the tutorial!!!

I'm extremely happy with the look!

I didn't paint the turn signal reflector for legal reasons, but the rest is pretty much what you suggested.

However, I used a soldering iron and don't recommend it at all, get a dremel and do it right, people

I've been looking at buying some aftermarket tails, but I'd much rather do this! I'll buy a used set and do the work on those. Looks amazing!

You said you used Nite Shade for the reflective bits, does that include the turn signal chrome housing??

THanks in advance.

I wish I knew about the tape when I did this, I had absolutely no patience for the RTV method and within hours I had condensation. Also, Dremel is quick but cuts are messy, definitely going to try the heat method!

Edit: Could you go into detail on the sealing process?
