Boosted since 34.4K. Lots of AutoX runs. Innovate SC w Delicious CARB tune. Oil changes every 3.5K. Auto tranny fluid change at 40K, 60K. Still runs great.

I'm at 65,000 kms (just over 40,000 miles), and have had a few small issues, but nothing that would make me run away. All were either promptly looked after by my dealership, or were so minor, that I just fixed it myself. Both tail lights have been replaced (one early on and one just a few weeks ago) due to condensation. Both window seals were replaced due to folding up as the window closes. The small 1/4 window at the front of the door on the driver's side has been replaced twice because of a seal flaw. The dash pad material was coming unglued just above the center vents, and again, my dealership was quick to look after it. The only mechanical issue I have experienced was a sticky front brake caliper.
I should add that my car was an early build (April '12), and it is my daily driver. I drive it through all kinds of sh!tty weather, and it is standing up well. I change the oil every 5,000 and the trans (manual) and diff every spring and fall (once per year now that I've settled on what fluids I'm using). The brake pads are just about done at this time...might get another 5,000 out of 'em.

On the subject of reliability...

While browsing a store tonight, I was thumbing through a car magazine (can't recall which) with a Forester on the cover. They had some survey of most/least reliable cars. Forester (non-turbo) was one of, if not the top of the small SUV class. BRZ/FR-S took the bottom of the sport car class.

I attribute this to the fact that not so many people are likely to mod a non-turbo Fozzy to the point of blowing up engines. I have to wonder who all they surveyed.

Bump, now approaching 60k, still no issues.....anything I should look into having replaced under warranty? I'm about 100-200 miles way from it. Obviously I know it's time to do Spark plugs....not sure what my plan is on that. Already replaced diff/trans fluid. Anything I'm missing?

If you haven't done it, you could consider having the fuel pump replaced under the tech bulletin.

Is that really the only problematic thing to worry about? Is there any recall stuff I should go out of my to take the car to the dealer for?

There's a thread on here that lists of service items. There have been only two "real" recalls I believe. 1 was for an error in the owner's manual that they sent out a correction for, and the second was for a very limited number of cars sold in the Southeast that may have had an accessory installed with the wrong torque figures. Everything else is a service bulletin I believe.

I really wasn't having a problem with the fuel pump, the bulletin addresses the "crickets" but I never could really determine if mine did or didn't have them. Still a zeroed out fuel pump is better than one with 60,000 miles on it so I had the dealer check it and they found sufficient noise evidence it needed to be replaced under warranty.

50k.

I've put on new front pads, changed air filter and cabin filter a few times.

Changed Diff/tranny fluid twice (once after 1000 mile break in and then again at 20k).

Oil change with Amsoil 0w-30 every 7500 miles with oil filter replacement every 3250 miles.

I think I'll do plugs once I'm north of 75k. They're iridium so there's no hurry to change them.

But it's so much fun to change them, why deny yourself the pleasure?

I would have thought the Iridium plugs could go 100K miles. So why does Subaru suggest replacing at 60K? Because it's Direct Injection?

Curious to see what the plugs look like but at this point taking them out you might as well replace them. I'm at 61k and have another set ready to replace but I wouldn't mind waiting a bit longer.
