I have learned so much from your build. From now on I will do NOTHING to my car until I have referred to it.
You have mentioned you only ever use water from the hose. Same with me. Our mains water is particularly "hard" i.e. contains salts. Afterwards, while anything is still wet, I rinse with water from our rainwater tank which is close to distilled water. When you post profile photos of your car would you mind having the lettering on the tyres right at the base where it looks best (although upside down).

Sleeve installed... ![]() Installed to bracket under GT Supercharger... ![]() Polished a few of these... I only used Blue Magic and my Dremel with felt wheel... ![]() Secured and heat protected the fan shroud connectors...I'm going install more heat barrier tomorrow... ![]() ![]() __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram | zeal.eightsix Last edited by zeal86; 05-02-2016 at 07:10 PM. |

Thank you for doing all these awesome things that I'm way too lazy to do. Would love to see your car in person when it's all finished!

Well...while inspecting my install I noticed my v-belt was incorrectly placed from the top on my SC pulley but not at the bottom... I fixed that but during my inspection I found that the dip stick boss I thought I cut down to 5mm was off by a couple of millimeters or so and contacting my SC pulley.
![]() So... I'm going to release the tension on the v-belt and the bolts on the supercharger bracket then push it back and see if I can create enough space to file down the boss or use a mini hacksaw... crossing my fingers! If not, off with the bracket... __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram | zeal.eightsix Last edited by zeal86; 04-29-2016 at 12:33 AM. |

Problem solved! I masked off the pulley with aluminum tape then took a mini hacksaw blade to the boss. There was plenty of space to saw off the boss without marring up anything around it or the pulley.

Traction fluid reservoir mounted to the (separated and powder coated) radiator support bracket.
I will begin polishing the top portion of the radiator support bracket in a few. ![]() ![]() __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram | zeal.eightsix |

Had to come to a stopping point (for now at least) ... anyway... this is where I am at...
After being bead blasted... ![]() I still have plenty of polishing to do... but this pic gives you an idea how it will turn out. ![]() Instead of drilling 4 holes (2 ea) for the zipties to pass through as per the instructions, I drilled 2 holes (1 ea) and riveted in some ziptie tie-downs. ![]() __________________________________________ projekt zeal86 build zeal.eightsix Facebook Instagram | zeal.eightsix |

Finished polishing the radiator support bracket today... now I have to decide how I am going to protect the steel from rusting... I'm going to either have it powder coated or have it painted with an automotive clear coat.
