I believe they are 17 lbs, but not 100% sure. They do feel ridiculously light. 17 lbs is what's listed here:

Well I've been busy with the car, but haven't gotten around to taking photos. I finally took a quick shot today:
![]() I really like the dropped look (and the performance) on the RCE Yellows. Installing the Yellows was a bit of an adventure...you can read about my experience in this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=16102 Getting the whiteline rear camber bushings installed by a shop turned out to be a mini-nightmare, as they bent a little part of the frame so they could more easily adjust the bushings...without telling me they were doing that and without smoothing and painting the metal: ![]() You can read about the whole thing in that same thread. They did quickly acknowledge that they messed up, and fixed the metal and also worked on getting my alignment right where I wanted it. The only remaining issue is that there really is very little clearance between my 8.5" +44 Volks and the bottom spring perch on the strut: ![]() I'd like to put back the stock fixed strut bolts which would add some clearance (instead of the crash bolts that came with the RCE lite kit), and adjust camber up front with a camber plate instead. However, as far as I can tell, there is no camber plate available that works with the stock struts, that doesn't increase ride height, and that allows you to adjust camber. I also installed the dome/trunk/license plate LEDs, 5axis wing, and a Perrin resonated Catback exhaust. Detailed pics of those to follow when I get around to it! They were all easy installs and highly recommended. The wing gives an enhanced stock look. The Perrin resonated CBE is very quiet, so you should know that going in. But I hope to do more exhaust components in the future and don't want things to get too loud. And I like the low rumble of the resonated version. The car feels more powerful and seems to accelerate more smoothly, and the tips look amazing...they are a huge improvement over those temp Pepboys tips. OK that's it for now...thanks for looking, and let me know if you have any questions. |

Underbody panels arrived and are installed. Nice quality pieces with a lot more coverage than we get stock obviously. Pulling out the plastic clips we have is a real PAIN...thanks for your help Laika!
Got some nice neoprene gaskets from wdninja for my Colin tail lights. Installed along with 3M weatherstrip adhesive...hopefully no condensation issues ever again! Perrin silicone inlet hose installed: ![]() ![]() During the install I dropped a small screwdriver into the engine bay...grrrrrrrrrrr. Jacked up the car onto ramps and stuck a telescopic magnet tool in the opening on the side of the metal panel under the engine...luckily pulled it out! Subaru rear cargo tray arrived today, and I've got a K&N filter to install once I'm sure the inlet hose is good to go. ![]()

Washed the car yesterday and snapped some new shots today. I miss my Volks, but the car is on the stock rims with snow tires right now:

Update!
Long time since an update. Let's see...JDM Toms tails installed along with Valenti bumper light. My friend helped me rewire the Valenti so the v-bar and the triangle light up separately. I wasn't sure if the lighting from the Toms and Valenti would match, but I think it looks great:
![]() ![]() My friend also helped me switch the lights in the HVAC and clock to RED...looks a million times better (but this pic isn't great): ![]() Most recent mod is a hybrid piston shift knob from WC Lathe Werks: ![]() ![]() Tweaked the STi logo a bit to read my initials instead. The knob feels and looks great...it will probably take a little time to get used to the different shape. This shot shows an overview of the interior and some other mods: ![]() You can catch a glimpse of some of the JPM pieces I got, including the bonded dash piece and perforated leather boots. I also got the simulated leather cluster hood and knee pads, and leather wrapped visors, which all look amazing. I'll try to take some pics of the JPM pieces soon. In that pic, you can also see my black yospeed plaque with custom image drawn by the wifey. And I replaced all of the silvery plastic bits with the black ones from amayama, including the steering wheel piece and door handles. And you can also see the black Beatrush drift button...I had to get rid of that plastic "stainless" stock button! That's about it for now...maybe at some point I'll do some more performance mods.

Any more pictures of that rear end? Debating on if I should get that rear bumper light or the smoked one. How well do the red from both lights match?
Car looks great btw Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk |
