Hey guys..
For awhile now ive been dying to get a BRZ. Its my dream car that's in a realistic price range. Im in the army so you can imagine i don't get paid much. Im currently deployed in Kuwait... Long story short, i come home in 12 days... and my wife just sent me pics of my welcome home gift.

I wish it wasent used. But im so happy. I gave the RSX to the wife lol.
(sorry for the bad pics but its all i have of her until i get home)

Giving up my 2005 Mercedes SLK350 w/ just 60,000 miles to pick up my new 2015 BRZ this Friday. Never owned a Japanese import before so this will definitely be a change of pace for me. Looking forward to high-revving fun.

I'll be sure to post some pics when I get my hands on it!

hey everyone

I picked up my BRZ in September of 2013. The forum has been very helpful and lurking helped me choose the mods I do have. Hope to contribute in the future.

Hi Everyone,

We're sure you've heard of MagnaFlow over the years, but we wanted to become more involved in the BRZ community and to be on here as a resource for anyone that has a question about anything exhaust related. A lot of people don't know that 70% of our business is catalytic converters, so we have a ton of information on hand to talk about emissions, performance exhaust systems and everything in between. We look forward to being part of the community and sharing some of the stuff we're doing with all of you.

Thanks!

New (to me) BRZ . '14 Pearl white limited, MT 22k.
So far I love it. Coming from Italian sports cars I wanted something that handled and didn't ride like a Buick. I also wanted something I didn't have to work on and we had a good experience with my wife's Imprezza Outback Sport so I took the plunge.
First impressions driving it 225 miles home: love the handling and the ride. Great milage, 33 mpg with the cruise set at 83. The dash is a little gee whiz but the tachs in the right place. The analog speedo is a waste of space, I'd rather see oil pressure and temp there.

I can't leave well enough alone so mods are coming but will be some what limited in keeping with a good daily driver.
In rough order.
Trans/dif oil change
Shift bushing and trans mount
Cold air intake
Strut bar
Cat back exhaust (I was going to wait on this but my wife said it doesn't sound sporty enough
Braided brake lines and Perrin master stabilizer
Wheels
Mirrors ( I find the stock ones ugly)

I've already found lots of good info here on the forum, thanks.
My photos were to big so I'll post some later.

Herro,

My name is Chris, but people call me Breezy. Long story made short: I was planning on proposing to my, now ex, girlfriend of 6yrs this year but that flame was extinguished back in May *sadpanda*. So since I had some money lying around from not buying what would have been a disappointing diamond (I mean, lezbehonest), I purchased a 2015 BRZ Premium 6MT in WRB on Valentine's Day. iknorite?

My previous boo thang was a 2009 Jetta TDI in Blue Graphite that was lightly modded (projectors, ultra lows, and Miro LM Reps), but that car has been returned to stock and has become my work horse. The BRZ was brought in to satisfy the mod bug.

Sorry for all da texts but I am looking forward to meeting y'all

Welcome fellow Belgians.
We also have a Belgian topic here on FT86 (Europe - subsection) and also a Flemisch/Dutch forum at http://toyobaru.eu/

Hi everyone! I have been silently reading the forums for a while now, and I am getting ready to buy a BRZ in the very near future. At this point, basically just waiting for the weather here in Ohio to warm up a bit. This is going to be my first manual and first RWD car, so I want to be able to get used to that in decent conditions instead of on snow and ice.

I have seen a lot of great stuff on this forum that has given me a lot of great ideas for ways to tweak my BRZ as soon as I get it.

New BRZ owner from Las Vegas

Hey guys! I recently bought a used pearl white '14 BRZ Limited MT with 25k miles. Probably the most underpowered car I ever owned, but its a joy to drive!

I've owned a USDM 2002 Tacoma, USDM 2013 Tacoma, JDM 1991 Nissan Skyline gts-t, GBDM 1996 BMW 318i, JDM 1993 Nissan S-13 hatchback, JDM 1996 Nissan Silvia Kouki black top, USDM 2006 Subaru WRX, USDM 2011 Kia Sorento, USDM 2014 Subaru Forester, and now the BRZ! So I'm not new to the import car and mod world, but it has been awhile.

I have only driven the car for about 50 miles in 2 weeks, while my wife has logged nearly 200. I've been stuck with the family car doing baby errands . There are a few quirks I've noticed that I want to fix soon along with exactly what everyone else has been noticing about the torque dip and engine chirping when the DI engages over port injection.

The main issues I want want fixed in the near future are replacing/reinforce/stiffening the mounts and bushings. There's a lot of slop in the tranny mounts. The revs like to bounce with the tranny when accelerating/decelerating from/to mid to high revs, even so when I just blip the throttle with clutch engaged in mid rpms. It just bounces for a second or two. So hopefully new mounts etc will cure that.

I test drove both brand new and this used one, with the new tranny being smooth and desirable, but I didn't justify $5k more for a bouncing tranny and a clutch that may have 15k left in it. The modder in me felt I could remedy it. I also noticed the tires had signs of "skidding". (That's what a cop called it once when I was pulled over years ago after a drift meet.) But I shrugged it off knowing they'd be replaced for better shoes someday.

After the purchase, My wife informed me that her contacts said this car MAY have been drifted regularly. we have the name, pics, facebook page, etc. of the previous owner. I wont say who it is as he may be on this forum, but If you're reading this, I would like to have a friendly chat with you about this vehicle's history so I know what to look forward to and swap some knowledge. you kept the car near mint condition btw!

Anywho, I'll be seeing you guys around the forum. Hope to swap knowledge and share stories. Maybe even meet up for a chat/beer/group drive.

What's up guys! My name is Buck and just joined the forum like majority of the others here. Drive a CBS BRZ 2014 edition in AT with 10k miles on it. Ive had the car for about a year now and still hardly/next to none modifications done to the car... Will hopefully have some parts come time for spring break.
A little bit about myself is that I'm currently a freshman in college attending Abilene Christian University majoring in Interior Design and Architecture. I am originally from Lubbock, Tx and am a part of West Texas Imports car club in Lubbock and F.A.S.T. in Abilene. Gotta love the car scene here, strictly racing over here but I'm more of a style person and not much of a straightaway, as we all know with our cars
I look on the ft86 forum daily usually looking at "What did you do to your BRZ today?" to grab ideas for possible upgrades. I've read through about 312 pages of that forum and still going! I look forward to seeing you guys around the forum and what not!
