my intro
Hi all. My BRZ is just over two months old. I have been lurking since before then. Thanks to all on this forum for their significant information. It has been a real help. Being retired, I am probably one of the older owners here.

I have been around for a while - but at last going to introduce myself. I picked up someone's pre-order back in mid July 2012. Been driving the SWP BRZ limited (no. 2344) since August 2012. It has been very rewarding so far.
Hoping to see some of you in the Chicagoland or elsewhere when I am traveling. |

I've been a member here for over a year and a lurker since about 2009 so I should actually introduce myself.
I ordered a BRZ back in March '12 and picked it up in June, it's been my daily ever since (except when I broke my ankle last month and have been hitching rides). I'm already seeing BRZs and FR-S's around Madison and my work parking lot and squee like a little Japanese girl every time I see one. No mods yet but I've got a detailed build spec'd and priced out. Just waiting to pay off the car and fix any recall/warranty issues before I start hacking. Happy driving guys! |

Hello all!
I ordered my WRB BRZ Limited back at the end of October of last year and just got confirmation of delivery today for February! Needless to say today has turned into a great day! This is my first new car... Currently I drive a 5 speed manual ford escape which has served me well and will continue to do so as my daily driver. I look forward to being a member here and have found this forum to be a great source of information. First thing I'm going to do with my car: -Healthy engine break in -Driver weight savings -Driver performance upgrades Other info: I am 25 and work at a major Diesel engine company. It's my first job after graduating Purdue as a mechanical engineer. I previously worked for Bosch Braking division as a co-op. I love design and certainly appreciate this piece of art! |

Now that I've done some driving, I guess I should check in too. I just picked up at BRZ Limited automatic at the end of the year:
![]() After driving shitbox pickup trucks for the last decade, it's a bit of an upgrade! The acquisition was actually rather unexpected. I knew that I wanted a BRZ, and a friend of a friend wanted a fast end-of-year sale. Luckily, I live in New England, so there are a lot of BRZs floating around (though automatic Limited is still pretty rare). The intermediary put us in touch with each other, and four days later I was signing paperwork. Got what felt like a pretty respectable deal - 28.3k for the car (with one of the option packages), 1.4k for 7yr/100k warranty. Including taxes and whatnot, total out the door was 31.6k. Only downside is that black was my second choice, and I really wanted the Galaxy blue. It wasn't worth passing up the last-minute opportunity and paying an extra thousand, though. Only downside is that I've barely had a chance to drive it, since I'm being a little excessively cautious about road conditions. As you can see from the picture, we've been getting a bit of snow here and there... |

Just got to drive my brand spanking new WR Blue BRZ for the first time yesterday. Couldn't be happier, bloody good fun and I want a longer commute just so I have an excuse to get in it every day.
Hoping to meet up with some of the SoCal chaps sometime soon. |
