IMHO I would be more worried about getting used to the car as a driver than mechanical limitations. I don't think break-ins on a new cars are quite the same as they used to be.

There is still break in periods. It is in the manual. Some chose to ignore it because they know more than the engineers that built the car but it is there and important as it ever was..

http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1122141 Seems like they just say to vary your speed. I accelerate till I have to decelerate anyway.

Hi all!

Long time lurker, some time driver.

I got my 2016 BRZ almost a year ago now and use it as my daily (and only) car.

I've managed to go on some drives with the local Subaru club:

I've also had time to go some track days. Here's two laps of Kinnekulle ring, probably the most adored track in Sweden:

I've noticed the car runs a bit hot on track, so will be getting an oil cooler as my first real upgrade.

Hey everyone

I bought my 2014 WSP BRZ back in September and I've been lurking non stop ever since. It's been on my wish list ever since they were announced and I finally got a great career opportunity to be able to afford one. Im keeping it simple and mainly focusing on the handling of the car rather than the power. My dream car is still the ae86 though haha. Maybe one day.

The day I brought it home

The BRZ is here. Now hopefully winter will end soon so I can carefully break it in for 1600kms.

Hey all,

Last night I drove home my very own BRZ series. Yellow. Such a fun and beautiful car. Now just have to finish breaking it in and I was told 1k miles try to stay under 4K rpm.

Stoked!

Picked up this beauty at Livermore Subaru today. I'm a motorcycle guy, so there is a ton to learn, but it looks like I've found a good spot to start my education!

New to the forum and recently bought a 2014 BRZ Limited 6MT 11,000 miles. Mostly have owned Jeep and Toyota 4x4s with a short BMW E30 attempt last year. Have a Rubicon and classic Land Cruiser now but wanted something fun on the pavement. Really liking the BRZ!
