Exactly what I thought! So the biters are on fire for a total of about 30 seconds, which does absolutely nothing to kill them. So now they gotta post someone by the pond for the foreseeable future to brain each lightly-toasted zom comes crawling out.

I think it was more for distracting the zombies, than killing them. Remember Rick and company were being backed to a wall. The fire caught their attention and started walking to the lake.

but was surprised the mom died also, Rick didn't even get to hit it LOL

Two kids could went without mom. I am glad to see the rev & Eugene step up to the plate. And Darral as always is a badass. Poor Carl. Makes twice he's been shot.

Yeah Jessie was cute af but would have been a wreck after watching her kids turned into people-tartar. The look on her face after Sam got chomped was that of a person who pushed the eject button on living. Seems like every chick Rick has an eye for doesn't last long. Speaking of which, I was thinking about Carol and the unfortunate kids that seem to croak after coming in contact with her. So far I can count 4 (Lizzie, Mika, Sam and her own daughter Sophia) have bought the farm after spending time with Carol. Not that all of those were her fault, per se, but damn if she isn't the freaking Reaper for kids on this show.

The way the first episode of the season played it (with them flashbacks of her smiling and what not), Rick was gonna be all busted up over Jessie. Took him exactly 2 months to say, NEXT!
