I know we have quite a few customers running the Greddy kit that enjoy the tune, not sure if they'll see this and chime in here or not. That's a fun kit to tune for

Sincerely,

Zach

I believe I finalized my setup that's going on the car in 1 week from now. Touge Factory will be contacting you guys soon to tune this setup.

Greddy T518Z turbo kit
Greddy Type FV BOV
Greddy Profec boost controller
Full exhaust upgraded (Motiv Over pipe, Motive Front pipe, Greddy Comfort Sport GTS V2 exhaust)
Injector Dynamics 725cc injectors
Denso 265lph fuel pump

What's a safe PSI I can run with this setup conservatively? 10/12/14 PSI?

On pump gas, 10-12 psi is the max we really recommend. On E85, you can safely increase that to around 16 psi provided you have adequate cooling modifications.

Zach

Zach,

Do you suggest that across all platforms regarding the cooling modifications if running e85 at a higher boost level? And if so, what modifications do you recommend? (guessing an oil cooler, new radiator).

I really never saw a need to upgrade my rad, I don't really drive my car hard that much (and didn't need to bc of my power levels at the time). I do have an oil cooler though it is the stock forester oil cooler and not an aftermarket one.

We recommend a quality oil cooler. If running any harder than spirited street driving, an air-liquid oil cooler is the recommended route. All advice is really going to be application specific. As far as the radiator we've found it to be highly efficient and don't see a need to upgrade it unless running very high power levels, 400+ whp.

Sincerely,

Zach

Yup will be running purely on 93 Oct. So I'm guessing tune for 12psi but lower the boost controller to run 10psi all the time. When I feel like boosting up I can crank it another 2 psi.

You could definitely go that route. If you're only running 93 you could even use a boost controller and have 3-4 separate maps. 8, 10, and 12 would be a good spread. Honestly on most setups we see more power and responsiveness on pump gas from lowering the boost a bit and taking advantage of the timing left on the table. Helps with heat too.

Sincerely,

Zach

That's good info to know. Heat wise I having the hot side of the turbo all ceramic coated, the radiator upgraded to Koyo with SPAL fans and FBM fan shroud. Also have Greddy Circuit oil cooler on the car. I very much like the idea of 8-10-12 maps.

I would say vacuum leak. Maybe under the intake manifold?
