My car has 500 hard miles and it still does it. Our shop car has about 100 miles, 40 of which are on the dyno, and it still smells. This is not new exhaust smell, or anything like have had before. I do hope it goes away soon. In fact, i have an appointment next week at the dealer for this and a few other issues, just to make sure its ok.
Im at over 900 miles smell was there now its gone, its normal I think its resin plastic intake manifold cover curing when heat soaked by the engine, since a lot of us smell it, I would consider it normal

It is a normal Toyota phenomenon. Just the engine burning off the cosmoline / cosmoline like substance. Its already long gone from my FR-S

I noticed the "burning oil" smell after my first drive of 50 miles home last night in a 2013 BRZ Limited Auto WRB . Figure it to be normal initial engine break in/ chemical burn.

My burning smell is all gone now at 1000 miles. False alarm.

if it's italian car, then i wouldn't bother at all, it's the chassis anti corrosion feature.

And yes mine had the same smell coming back from dealer, it seems to come out closer to rear driver side, but looking from under and there's nothing apparent. it will go away after a while.

Very common with new cars. Foreign manufacturers will spray a lot of components with a fine oil to prevent sea air damage during shipment.

Goes away eventually. Car also pins like an arcade game as it cools down after a drive; that does NOT go away.

I had the smell at ~500 as well, but now I'm almost at 4k and the smell is gone; not sure when it went away but it fades slowly

Just normal heat cycling on a new car. Just like the "new car smell" inside the car, which is just left over fumes from glues and solvents and outgassing of various components, it'll go away with time.
