Taosracer's silver premium 6 spd

Got my car today First one delivered in Keene NH. Paid MSRP, happy happy boy !!

Just got back from putting the first 150 miles on it. Can't wait to hit 1k so I can open it up. Installed Grimmspeed plate bracket right away. Great part, thanks Justin. I'll post up initial thoughts later

I mounted it flush with the bumper with a couple little adhesive pads to protect the plastic. That keeps it perpendicular to the road and totally vertical. Iknow it'll ruin my drag coefficient, but will catch insects more squarely

How many insect splatters do you have already? I go for an hour drive and have a handful on my windshield and front bumper

I've gone almost 200 miles now. I'll scrape them off and weigh them in the morning

Burned through two tanks in two days, putting 770 miles on the car since delivery, and all I can say is the car was worth the three year wait I've toured a lot of New England back roads, (not really twisty enough for my taste !) and gone into the congested urban confines of Boston in both dry and very wet conditions. Very capable little car through all the varied driving I've done in it so far.

I'm getting used to the 6spd box and softer clutch feel, both very different from my ride for many years, a WRX swapped TS wagon (essentially a bugeye rex)

I'll be putting the BRZ on an alignment rack tomorrow to get specs both with and without me in the car, as I want to explore getting a little more -camber up front, and am curious to see if static alignment is affected at all by driver weight.

A couple of creature comforts I miss are a lit glove box, and a cover to hide stuff in the console. Also wish it had a change drawer like subies of old. Finding them all conspicuous in their absence. Perhaps this will get some action http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7622

Overall I find the interior of the car a very nice place to live.

I'll be getting to a track day ASAP, my main reason for the purchase

So, I've driven 1400 miles so far, and needless to say, LOVE the car. I've started a couple of threads that I hope will prove helpful, as they will be the first two items to improve on my car.

Two slightly annoying noises to report in my first 10 days of driving. With windows down, the rear seat belt on the passenger side flaps like mad and sounds like 5 pound locusts flying around in the car. Easily remedied by buckling it across the seat.

The other is a pop sound from the rear, especially noticeable when the rear seat is folded down. I believe it's coming from the trunk hardware (possibly the rods that spring it open) as the chassis flexes over bumps or around turns. I'll be torturing someone into riding back there to trace the source of the noise.
