It might be a gamble but you are in Chicago and it is almost October.. Once Nov/Dec hits the dealer will drop prices quite a bit to move these cars. Trust me. These cars do not sell in the mid-west from Dec-April.. You might save yourself another $1000-1500.

But it is a gamble waiting.

Hello all, I thought I'd bump this thread with a pricing question (hope the OP doesn't mind).

I was looking to possibly place an order for a '15 Premium at an MSRP of $26,490... I was trying to aim at acquiring a $2,500 - $3,000 discount... Tried two dealers and they are meeting me with only about $1,200 off. I realize I can go for an out of state deal but I want to stay local for now...

What do you all think? Am I just expecting too much?

I'm not sure on the pricing of a premium. But you should be able to get a limited for 25600. Check out the Heuberger motors and try to get your local dealer to match their price. I got my series.blue (msrp of 31k) for 27500

The SB and Limited probably have a bit more mark up, I'm assuming. If you saved $3,500 on a limited edition model, there should be no question that I should save at least close to $3,000 or even $2,500 at the minimum on an ordered unit, I'm thinking.

It's tempting to just go ahead and pull the trigger since the BRZ's driving experience is worth every penny anyway, but I'd hate to leave money on the table.

If they're giving you only 1200 off that means you're gonna pay 25200 for a premium? You should be getting a limited for 25600. I mean I got dealers in Chicago match Heuberger motors price.

Also, regardless of the markup on my series.blue - it's a limited edition only 1000 made for US so they are not willing to haggle much. I've contacted every dealer within 200 miles by the way. Do your research.

That's where they're at... Lowest I've gotten is $24,900 + tt&l. And I'm asking for $1,500 more off. You have a point, I'll have to be persistant like you were...

Guys. I just moved to Chicago, and am looking into a BRZ. Can you guys tell us which dealerships exactly you went to, or maybe even recommend the sales representative you worked with? Perhaps they'd be more interested in making a good deal if I told them I was recommended to them from a previous buyer...?

I doubt it if you told them you came from me hahahaha. I'd say evanston subaru and autobarn subaru in countryside were pretty good. Don't go in there right away. Negotiate a price over email

I've already been to Evanston Subaru, lol. I didn't do much negotiation (just kind of walked in and said, "Just give me an idea what a .Blue would cost?") and it was over $30k with taxes and everything. Like I said, though, I didn't sit down and start haggling. I just asked the guy for a ballpark figure and left.

I'm not even sure HOW to negotiate. Is it literally just repeating, "That's too much," over and over again until they don't seem to want to go lower?

Current brz Prices

I got my blue at that. 27500 +ttl, I don't think you can get it much lower. And I got it form evanston. Well the first price they told me was msrp lol. After which I told them it's outrageous and a dealership 30 miles away has the car for 28 and it went on and on

Well I'm not even looking into a Blue. I just wanted to high-ball my starting point. I'd rather a fully-optioned Limited anyway. I just see all these people saying MSRP OTD so I'm really hoping a regular limited will be a few thousand cheaper.
