Some folks dreams are another's nightmares. A Tesla would aggravate me to no end. I like to be able to go where-ever I want with no range anxiety. Yes, it would work for 80% of my driving but it's the other 20% that would prevent me from going electric. If I went electric, it would have to be a Volt type electric.

- High revving NA engine + 6MT makes commuting more interesting - More feedback and raw feel - More agile - Better gas mileage I'm sure there are others that would prefer the torque and relative isolation of the GTI, but I find it pretty boring honestly. I always look forward to driving the FR-S before/after work, whereas the GTI feels more like an A-to-B appliance. It's really only on days when I want to relax where I prefer the GTI's refinement.

Agreed. For me the torque, larger cabin, quieter cabin, larger trunk with still very good steering feel, communication through the chassis, pedals, etc, better communication through the gas pedal (yay no DBW! ), more raw feeling I get with the old M3 works better for a DD than the BRZ. Combine that with the "DGAF" factor of something happening to the M3 and it's a winner. The track car has a wheel boot on it to help prevent theft, so removing the boot, moving the car, moving the BRZ and then putting the track car in the garage.. and then reversing that every night makes the BRZ a total pain in the ass to drive. That's all my fault.. well and the fault of idiots who steal 14 year old econo-box Hondas.

I do understand this part. My FR-S already needs a hood respray from the combination of thin paint and having driven almost 50K miles. White spots all over it. Drives me nuts when I look at it, but I knew it was going to happen so I just remind myself of that.

Well, the wife and I both have 2-door cars, and I commute on my motorcycle if it is sunny outside, so whatever other vehicle we may get in the future would definitely be 4-door, and probably be a truck.
