To me it looks like you turned in too early and had to tighten up for the second half of the turn, instead of going in later and harder, then easing off on the steering as you go hard on the gas in the second half of the turn.

I think you can also benefit from trying to make smoother steering inputs.
Compare your clip above to Jacques' RSR hot lap video, and you'll see how smooth his steering inputs are.

Nevertheless, it was a good and confident "catch" - nice

This experiment led to skid marks ...on my seat!

Lesson learnt,

(Luckily this was at the end of one of the sessions, and there wasn't cars around),

I shat myself funny!

Just shows how important it is to be alert at all times,

Also driving flat out with TC off on Zwartkops like a 16 year old is not a good idea if you do not have experience

Edit: Looking back that should have been a warning from the Marshall,

I drove the rest of the day with TC off, but was very careful at TableTop and made sure my lines where better around those corners.
Didn't slide or loose control on other laps.
I totally understand that the video doesn't do it justice. That "loose" feeling when the car swings out... in your bum... and then your stomach... I can believe you shat yourself if you totally weren't expecting it! Still, good save. Well done. Keeping it nice and calm, like a boss

Yebo - Mrs Sporran and I were having a blast round the track when we had to cut our afternoon session short after puncturing the right rear tyre at turn 3 - looked like a large nail initially but turned out to be a freakin' allen key straight into the tyre Tyre's ruined so guess what I'm doing tomorrow morning.

Otherwise it was quite busy in the morning so they were running five classes with only 10 minute sessions. There were several McLarens present - very nice looking horseless carriages those things!!

Zwartkops was packed!!

A little challenging with limited pit spaces,
People were parked all over the place,

It was also "Bring your Supercar to Track day" for many millionaires who were keeping their 911s', GTRs' and McLarens' safely in their garage from Jan to Nov,

Sadly I did not see any GTRs on track,

Due to the large amount of cars, they made 5 groups,

A - 2.0L and above,
B- 2.0L and below
C - First timers
D - Race Cars quicker than 1m18s
E - Race Cars slower than 1m18s

One of the track Polo's dropped oil on track, so despite the fresh cement, it was a little slippery!!

I spun out at table top,
Was an eye opening experience,
I was not going flat out - Had a passenger on board.
I lost control when I touched the cement paving when I went wide on the turn, I usually try to use the pavings allot (Cover more road), but I guess I just passed over the oil(covered in cement) going into that turn.

Luckily no harm, and was able to drive back in and do a few more laps in that session.

Didn't manage to get any decent timed footage on my phone using HarrysLap Timer, my phone kept on getting heated and freezing(Ironically)...
(Need to find a way to start trying to overlap with my GoPro footage, will try out other apps next year),

Looking forward to an Epic 2016!!

Here's a highlight of my day, getting to see this beauty in person

LibertyWalk GTR
(Would have really loved to see this on track)

The damage to the rim caused by that allen key on the track at Zwartkops yesterday. Will use that as the spare methinks and treat it like one of those marie biscuit types if I have to use it again. I wasn't able to get it crack checked but will put it on my list of things to do - not planning on replacing the wheels as I actually like the standard ones.

When I reported my puncture to the marshalls yesterday and showed them the allen key their response was "that's nothing, we've found hammers on the track before. Now you've got a souvenir!" Looks like we're in bandit country, Tonto.........

Here's my highlight video of SuperTrax Dec'15:

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PL4OD0L7s80"]SuperTrax Dec'15 - Highlights video FT_86_SM_GP - YouTube[/ame]

I experimented with some music/filters which resulted in this video being a little too 'social media-ish'

My experiment at table top (going wide) can be seen at 3mins where I leave skid marks on the track and my seat, lol

I'm not surprised. I've heard that it's a fairly common occurrance.
I've dodged a spanner lying on the track at Midvaal. People drop tools into sumpguards, or leave them on mudguards or bumpers, then they fall out on track...

You guys are so lucky to have a variety of track in JHB!

Wish work would allow me to come up for track days!

Lovely video there

Yikes! That was sudden! And you ended up quite far off as well! skiddies for sure mate

I decided to give it a skip and I'm glad I did. When I first started going to track I made a pretty big deal about being ready and being focused. I don't want to get complacent and treat it as a "quick Sunday outing"... especially at Z. And it sounds like it was a chaotic day indeed. Everything's been a bit topsy-turvy with big work deadlines and a relocation to JHB. Hopefully I'll be able to join you at the track again soon... I really do miss my speed fix

I had the exact in mind, I actually had a rough night before (Involved Laser Tag - and it took a toll on me physically. Incredible experience thou http://blackopslasertag.co.za/ )....in addition to that it was packed and once I saw the oaks throwing cement on track (because of the oil) I wanted to call it a day...but I had passengers who were visiting from London and felt too bad to cancel on them while at the track.

Because of the 10min time limit and traffic it felt like very casual racing,

Note to myself...never go for Supertrax again in December

There was a Honda went off at turn 1 yesterday causing some damage to the front end. I was chatting to the young lad afterwards and he said that he was a little distracted and lost concentration briefly as a result, which caused his prang. Backs up all you have said above and is the reason why we look at a track day as something to prepare for in order to get the maximum enjoyment out of it - not a spur of the moment decision.

Ja no well fine. Be careful at the Z...
Don't say I didn't warn you.

If it bites you, you don't have a rewind button to make your car magically go back into one piece.
I say it again - choose carefully where you take risk.

You can't unscramble eggs.
But, if you've got the budget to buy more eggs, then give it horns.

That said, @FT_86_SM_GP you're driving so well, and I'm looking forward to seeing how you show the Audis, Renaults and Scoobies carrots in the Michelin Cup next year.
