Eikond - The wheels really set the car off nicely.

Do you have any pics of the aeroforce scan gauge installed?

No, I haven't been able to find a gauge pod for it yet. There is one pod that clips into the defrost vent that would be perfect, but it seems to be very hard to find. I'm not a big fan of the A pillar pods and I'm not willing to give up my air vent to mount it in there.. So i'm waiting until someone brings out a viable option.

Great looking car! Sorry to see the fitment was so poor on the Stivo spoiler

Aw man, I saw your posts in the Stivio thread as well, got me worried about mine now. I got the same color as well. Although to be honest, the color-matching to me doesn't look too bad, well acceptable for me. Dunno, maybe it's harder for me to see in the photos.

But the fitment issues are not good. Hopefully it's just a bad unit, and not a problem with the design itself. Interested to see what Zoeb says about it.

Yeah the color match is off, but not a deal-breaker for me. In some angles and lights it looks dead on.. from other sides it looks quite different. But it's also a different material than the metal trunk, so I wasn't expecting 100% match. It's close enough that I wouldn't complain that much or ask for a return or anything.

The fitment is the part that bothers me. I probably wouldn't have said anything negative at all about the spoiler if it was just a minor color issue. But the fact that those corners don't stick down properly just drives me nuts.

I'm also interested to see what Zoeb says. I suspect he'll offer a replacement, but probably make me pay for shipping and paint on a new one.. .and it'll take another 6-8 weeks, which would suck!

Thanks!

I got the Bayson R lip and skirts direct by calling them. I was able to get it a little cheaper than there ebay ad directly because it saves them the ebay fees.

The rear spats are Kuro because when I bought them they were the only ones I could find.

Still haven't found time to fit the valance and the rear spats.. one of these days..

Today was a good car day.

I took it in for an alignment. Since last fall when I hit some horrible road construction bumps in Chicago I've always felt like my alignment was off. The car would pull pretty hard to the right on uneven roads. I didn't do anything about it until today because I knew last fall that I was putting it away for the winter and then I was going to install new wheels/tires as well as suspension bits..

Anyway. I was quite surprised at what I found out.

Pre-alignment I was at -1.1 camber on front left and -.2 on front right. No wonder it would pull to the right. I wonder if I bent something slightly? That bothers me!!!

I have the camber bolts installed and I asked them to get me as much camber as possible. They said they could get me -2* on the left, but only -1.1* on the right.. so they had to back the left side off and set it at -1.1* to match. Too bad.. still -1.1* is pretty decent I guess.

I also had really bad toe on the left side.. it was at -.22*. Now both are are adjusted to .01*.

I've got -1.6* camber in back left and -2.0 for back right.. They said they can't adjust that at all.

Anyhow.. nice to have things as straight as possible now.

I finally got around to installing the rear spats and rear valance. Nice stuff from Kuro and Advan-Emotion. I'm very happy with both parts.. very easy to install, nice fit.. good stuff! It was dark by the time I finished so I will get some pics tomorrow.

Also, I'm hoping to re-install the Stivo spoiler tomorrow afternoon. I had to take it off because it was starting to let go in the center of the trunk on the top portion. I now have some nasty surface scratches.. nothing deep, so it would buff out, but pretty ugly. They'll be covered up when I put it back on.. so I'm not too worried.

With the spats and valance done on Friday I got the spoiler re-installed on Sat. Thanks to @kask2_6.0 for his assitance!

The spoiler fits much better now thanks to some repositioning and re-taping and a different method of lining it up. It's not perfect by any means.. but it's acceptable now. We'll just see if it stays on.

Here are some pictures.. not the best since it's a cold rainy day.. but the back end is complete so it's worth showing off now.

I got really impatient and ordered an exahaust today.

I have been waiting on Megan Racing to release their dual exhausts.. and I thought the new DC Sport exhaust might be a good option as well. But I decided to snag a J2 dual setup with downpipe from ebay. $410 shipped.. At that price I could probably resell it if I don't like it and only be out a hundred bucks or so..

I'm gearing up for Carlisle Performance and Sound.. a meet/show in Carlisle, PA. I leave on May 9th, so I'm hoping they can ship it to me in time!!!!

I took my BRZ to Carlisle for the annual import show. My nissan club (NICOCLUB) runs the autocross and drift exhibitions for the weekend. It's a ton of fun!!!

This was the first time I've driven the car on a track. What a blast! I have a new respect for the car and what it can do. It's just amazing fun to drive. I let a few of my buddies drive the car(most of whom are very experienced with track days). They all had huge smiles and glowing remarks about the car.

I managed to tie for the 4th best time on the autocross. #1 was a VW golf with a big turbo upgrade, coils, and r-comp tires.. 58 seconds. #2 and #3 were a turbo miata and a Evo GSR with 59 seconds. I did a 1:00. I know there were a few others at 1:00 and 1:01... So I feel pretty good about my first autocross performance. It was a very tight track with some elevation changes.. lots of quick reflex turns and very few areas to accelerate hard.. so the BRZ was perfect for it. Just enough power to rotate the back end, but so stable and nuetral that you can get it back in line without losing time if you step out a bit too far.

Lot's of pics:
Sorry about the blue tape.. I just wanted to keep the cone rash to a minimum on those front corners.

I hope they bite better than the stock pads.. I have not been happy with those.

I installed my side skirts today as well. These are Bayson R.. same as the ebay stuff. I am pleasantly surprised by the fit.. very nice. They included 10 self tapping screws and four bolts w/ washers and nuts. The front and back holes on each side can take a bolt and secure on the inside with a washer. The 5 holes in the middle use the self-tapping screws. I drilled a small pilot hole in each place and then screwed them in.

Next project will be the rear valance and rear spats. Maybe tomorrow?

I still want to do brake lines in the near future as well.

Also, I'm still waiting for my stivo spoiler to come.. that's been a very long wait. Hopefully it will come soon.

Still waiting for Megan Racing to release their dual tip exhausts.
Haha i was looking at splitters on ebay and found this
that car in there looks familiar!
