I'm one of the 3 at Jeff's dealerships waiting on the same car you want. If I find the car before it arrives there, I'll give you my spot.

I JUST had almost the same experience as you at Hamer/Mission Hills AND Northridge. I swear, people are just crazy. My parents laughed at me because I shouldn't trust salespeople.

Hamer/Mission Hills told me, they have a black one, manual and come down for a test drive. I go, it's a Firestorm AUTOMATIC. So I said, whatever, haven't driven it yet. He says he wants to run a credit check. I was like... for what? You just made me drive an hour when I had like no sleep for the wrong color AND transmission and now you have the nerve to ask me for a credit check? I could buy 2-3 FRS's with my daily driver. So I said you're losing a customer and I'm going to report you for false advertising. He said go ahead. He doesn't care. The manager just walked away and pretended not to notice this going down.

So I walked out and went to the closest dealership Northridge. Sales lady was nice and let me drive both the white auto and the orange manual. She knew I wanted the black, but I was there for a test drive only. My parents aren't convinced of a tiny (to them unsafe), 200-hp (slow), Scion (what brand?) as a shining example of anything, so it is hard convincing them of how awesome this car is. I'm broke cuz I bought a mustang waiting for this car, so my parents are thinking of getting this car for my brother (I wanted to get it for his grad / bday present). This lady tells me she can get me the FRS in black and manual TODAY! What sorcery is this? I just have to fill out all the paperwork and sign everything right there. Ugh, how about no? How about you locate it and call me? Well she can't locate anything until the papers are signed? Really? isn't that what tracking numbers / VINs are for? Apparently not. Wait, so if I sign everything and you can't get it by the time you say, do I have first right of refusal and money back? No? So what about my spot at other dealerships? No guarantee date? She just said... looks like you're not ready to buy this car. She was right. I wasn't. Not from her. Ever.

Watch out. I'm getting tired of this. this is the 3rd time. I'm about to wait until they're just sitting on the lots to avoid this BS. Subaru didn't throw parties, but at least they don't use "pure pricing" BS to cover up for shitty customer service. THIS DOES NOT REFLECT ON JEFF / Longo however, who has been nothing but informative and always communicative with updates.

I'm dealing with Augie. He's been helpful most of the times
but he just did not keep his promise on the arrival date.

I asked him multiple times on the arrival date because I have track event to go to on June 9th.

Well, I'm still trying to buy it from him but he still does not know the exact date of arrival. which sucks.

btw which color and transmission are you waiting for?
perhaps lets talk to them together so we can get it faster?

because it seems like they are not trying their best to obtain the car.

I hate the way some of these dealerships are treating their customers. What West Covina Scion did to you, backing out of their shuttle service, has to be one of the lowest things I've read on the forums yet. No decency!

What the heck? I'd be furious if I were you right now, and after those experiences I'd probably swear off Scion (and thus this car) forever. Sounds like your dealerships are just plain awful.

That's not MSRP on the 6MT, either. Heck, that's even over the MSRP of the 6AT.

I work with ernie who is an awesome dude and an enthusiast himself. when i bought it, he told me there estimate arrival says monday the 4th, but from my understanding is things could be off a couple days because the don't really controll exactly what is coming in to them. To be honost though, I thought my car was coming last Monday, which is why I drove out there. I had originally ordered a whiteout 6mt, but everyone was telling me I'd have a bit of a wait, so when I heard they were getting a whiteout auto I settled. If its not here monday, then yes I will be annoyed, but I've already signed all the paperwork and traded in my car.

Hi

I'm from Scion of Glendora, just wanted to comment on this.
Scion Frs were suppose to come out in May for some reason Release date change to June pushing back all the car a few weeks. Scion finally gave us a date yesterday of Mid June.

Here's the pic to show what we see

Here's the vin number car is allocated to us but be have no control over delivery.

Here at Scion of Glendora we Pride on customer satisfaction. We do not mark up cars, Just because is a HOT item. We sell scions at Pure Pricing and that's why we have a great reputation.

Thank You.

I called today and they told me still haven't received my car.

anyway they still does not know the ETA of my car and I am really disappointed.

what should I do? just wait like a dumbass? or get my hold money back and try other dealers?
I was planning on going to Willow Springs raceway on 9th but now I don't even know if I can go anymore. FML

please help me out. thank you advance.
again very few dealers have a dedicted scion staff where all they do is scion. 98% of all dealers have their toyota salespeople certified to sell scions and they will not have the access to what Jeff from Longo is talking about. your best bet to find out more is to call the GM or GSM and voice your concern before you go searching for the car someplace else.

all toyota/scion dealers have access to vehicle pipeline tracking. if your car was allocated to the dealer but has not been built which is happening because factory is back logged they will still be able to see production status which is attached.

Just wanted to make sure you understand delivery is really not in our control. The Frs has been reserve for you and with the equipment that you requested.

Thank You for understanding.

Wow, got an answer from your dealer on the forum. How cool is that? Personally, I think it's awesome that we've got reps from the Scion dealerships here.

yup haha
Scion of Glendora is pretty awesome and helpful :]

On the other hand, West Covina Toyota is full of dishonest salesman.
I would never recommend WC Toyota to anybody.
In fact, I am willing to write what had happened last night on UCC(joint car club including all the UC school and some CSU) Imports school forum.
(Also I was one of the board member and I do go to the meets where I can personally describe my experience with West Covina Scion)
I will write nothing less or nothing more of what had happened. and the 6000 dollar mark up picture I took from the dealership.
Honestly I don't want any West Covina salesman to post anything on this forum. They disrespected us car enthusiasts with ridiculous mark up and lie to me.
