Let's see, the first time I saw a mini-type gun fire, it was mounted on an M-113 APC.

The demo team pulled up, we gathered around, it fired - BRRRRRRUUUUUUUMM.

That was it, the top of the APC was filled with brass and the target was - nowhere to be found.

(I preferred the .50 cal. MG, but I'm of the old Army - )

I just run a hand full of popcorn along the window sills for a little extra saltiness.

Nope.
Just a plain shirt.
I died in a grotesque dramatic fashion though.

“How old are you?”

“My first paintball gun was a Splatmaster Rapide.”

Not actually MY gun. Mine was sold years ago.

It was purchased at a yard sale in the mid ‘90’s for $20.

I've had this one for some time now, but decided to switch a few things a while back. Started life as a BCM 14.5 and chopped the barrel down to 13.7ish to be 16" with the warcomp.

Opted to switch from a red dot to an LPVO setup, so I snagged a Nightforce 1-8. Offset RDS. PEQ, Surefire light, and all sorts of neat stuff because looking cool is most important so I hear on YT on IG lol.

Finished assembling these 527 carbines about a year ago. It took me a few years browsing gunbroker to find the ones I wanted. Both were unfired new old stock, with the type of walnut I like. The .223 wears a VX-II 2-7x33mm and the 7.62x39 mounts an FX-II 2.5x20mm. They both have a set trigger function. I’ve dialed the regular pull down to a crisp 2 lbs on both. I don’t plan to use the set function, but I’ve got them dialed to what seems like a safe and consistent level. Haven’t taken them to the range yet, but with restrictions easing up, I hope to manage a range trip soon.

I try. I’ve been a fan of CZ for about fifteen years. They call it the wood lottery because they don’t exactly grade their walnut. The beech stocks are a dime a dozen, but I’ve always tried to be as patient as possible when buying their walnut. It was their rimfires that I first fell in love with, but over the years I’ve been appreciating their general aesthetic and price point more and more.

Couple of rimfires:

CZ 455 Trainer and 455 FS, both with FX-I 4x28mm rimfire scopes in Warne/Brownells 7.3 LOW rings. CZ 512 with VX-I 2-7x28mm rimfire scope in the same rings. The triggers in the bolt-guns are great but the 512 is one of the worst I’ve ever experienced. They’re all chambered in .22lr.

I've had a couple of 452 Americans. The first I bought in about 2005. It really nice wood and shot better than average. About 3 years ago I took to a reliable smith to get the action bedded and the ignition system tuned. He broke the stock - I still don't really understand how. Said he was trying a new type of release agent.

At any rate he replaced the gun with a new 452 and bedded and tuned it. Nothing on the new gun is as good as the first. The wood is, I guess, close. But everything else seems "cheaper" somehow. The bluing, the machining on the action. I've been so heartsick about trying to gild the lily and thereby losing the first rifle that I haven't even shot the second one. It certainly killed any regard I had for the smith, and the quality of the new rifle cooled my enthusiasm for the brand. I bought an Annie MPR to replace it. It shoots amazingly well, much more accurate than the first 452, but it's not the same.

I bought a 452 about the same time. Mine is 17HMR. I actually wish I wouldn't have bought it, stock is too nice everytime I put a blem in it I cringe.
