It's a Japanese magazine. This issue came with a DVD (all Japanese). I bought the magazine at Tokyo airport when I had a layover.

Ignoring the inflated dynapack numbers, it's about a 15% gain in power, supposedly. That's promising.

Gain 15% power, lose 5% of the weight -- nice start.

The more I keep trying to figure this out, I'm starting to think that there are two possibilities:

1) They are just taking a HP at the crank rating instead of the wheels. We were only seeing HP go up ~8 HP with Perrin swapping the entire system from the headers back. So unless Amuse knows some black exhaust magic that no-one else knows I don't see a stock ECU getting those gains.

2) The JDM ECU is tuned VERY differently from the US so getting HP gains is a lot easier since their exhaust restrictions are a lot more open than the US is.

Yeah, they use higher octane fuels so they may have tuned the ECU to take advantage of it as well as less restrictive exhaust.

in case anyone is wondering they do a 3 stage upgrade and test the lap times.
keichi's little sign reads:

normal attack
1. high grip tires
2. suspension
3. exhaust & seat upgrade
