That isn't my garage. It belongs to a good friend of mine. The BRZ won't have the luxury of a garage, yet.

I meant with the doors locking, is when I get in the car and start driving it. I know my friend's Si lock when you hit 8mph.

Still haven't found anything. I'm still nervous that I'm not actually locking the car when I leave it and touch the sensor on the handle. Guess I'm old school. :P

The car has about 200~miles on it so far. I love driving it! Puts a smile on my face every time. I can't wait to get to 1000 so I can push it past 4k rpm. Right now it's begging me to but I must hold back the urge!

Thanks!!!

Just passed 300 miles on her. Getting close to having to fill her up. Needs a wash too, but it's been raining for the past few days and doesn't seem like it's going to stop anytime soon.

Update time!

Yesterday, while attempting to go to the local CVS for something ( I don't even remember what for), my passenger rear tire hit a curb and went up and over it. Made me feel like a 16yo who just got their license... I got it looked at today and everything appears to be just fine. Car drives fine with no difference in steering. Looks like I dodged a bullet with that one!

One a better note, I did my first fill up! Got roughly 40$ of 93 just after the low fuel light came on. I averaged around 28mpg on the first tank. I'm quite impressed! I'm around 450 miles right now. The engine is begging to get revved past 4k but I'm trying very hard to not do that. That growl it makes is so intoxicating!

Is it me, or is the suspension quite stiff? I'm feeling a lot more bumps compared to my old car. Also, I posted this in a different thread, but I figured I'd post it here too.

I've been driving stick for roughly 5 1/2 years now. I had to teach myself on a 97 Integra which has seen better days, so I don't know if I'm doing everything right. First, is it normal for when I'm in a lower gear, say 1-3, that when I let off the accelerator but leave it in gear, for the car to dip in the front? It's barely noticeable, if at all in the higher gears. Second, when shifting up, is it ok that the revs aren't perfectly matched when the clutch is let out? Since they aren't perfect, the car does dip a bit till it catches. I usually try to rev match on up and down shifting. If anything I do better at downshifting.

Just past 500 miles! Half way there!

I think the suspension is stiff but nothing earth shattering. Liveable.

It is normal for the gar to dip in the front. That's due to engine braking. it is completely fine. It probably feels the most noticeable in 1st.

I would try and rev match on all your shifts but if it's not perfectly matched it is fine as well. Once you get used to the car more matching revs will be easier. I've still been learning the catch points and shift points.

Also, I completely agree that the car just wants to be revved over 4k. I'm at 200 miles now. Can't wait.

Could be that the suspension is new and hasn't broken in yet.

That's what I usually do, rev match. The clutch is quite different on this then my old car, so it'll take some time to get used to it.

I love how the fenders/hood bulge up a bit right above the wheels, making it easy to see where they are when in the car!

It needs a wash, but I'm too nervous to do it myself without practicing.

Update!

Today I was able to wash my car, since the rain finally seemed to stop and I had access to a hose and a private area to do it in. I used Meguiars Gold Class Soap in the two bucket method, as well as using two chenille mitts, one for the top of the car, and one for the bottom. Overall, it took about 2 hours in total, but I am VERY happy with the results. Car looks nice and clean again (Didn't help that I drove the car down a dirt road in the week that I've owned. Probably the result of most of the debris on the car. ). I even bought an electric blower to dry the car with. I must say, it's much better then using rags/towels/etc for drying! I'll be ordering some new products from Detail Image soon, such as new mitts, and other cleaning products.

Here's a picture of it clean:

I'd like to thank Dan at Premier Shine Auto Detailing, or Premier Shine- DK on the forums for answering all of my questions regarding to cleaning a car, as well as assuring me that if I do it correctly, I won't scratch my clear coat. Thanks a lot Dan! If any of you live in the NY/NJ/VA area, and want Dan to do wonders on your car, his website is here.
