@ Freedom - Coastal air mod is the best mod you can do on any NA vehicle!

This is at Schalk's conversions dyno.

I think you are comparing WKW on the stock car to FWKW on the others.
Apples & apples - compare results from the same dyno, preferably with the same car as well.

Thanks for the table - maybe indicate coast vs Gauteng as well since you'd obviously see higher numbers down there. Also severity of dip perhaps?

I only see now that the dynos were all done in Cape Town.

I doubt a stock car would make only 119FWKW at the coast. If that was the case everyone would be running to Toyota for misrepresenting the figures when selling the car. They quote 147FWKW

I agree.

If you look at the WKW we're getting up here and what the guys are getting in Durban, 119 is definitely WKW. Uless that car was SERIOUSLY sick or running on 93.

It could also be a case of the cars being run in different gears, it's just too easy to BS a dyno to get the results you're looking for.

Hey @Die$eL,

Please see below the graph of the stock 86:

We have dyno'd 86's at various dyno's in Cape Town resulting in different numbers.
The Top End dyno (graph is one of the previous posts in this thread) for example, shows a BRZ at about 135kw with our tune pushing it up to around 148kw on 95 PUMP fuel.

The key is consistency. We prefer using the more "pessimistic" (M.A.C.E) dyno used in the graphs above and will be using it for all further testing as it has proven to be both consistent as well as conservative.

The gear a car is run in on the dyno can be checked by looking at the run "Duration". All of ours are done in 4th gear.

Sounds a bit dodge but I agree - pointless using 10 different dynos, they would never be the same. 119kw is extremely pessimistic but it'll provide a base for % comparison as long as it's very consistent.

The reason I'm saying "dodge" is because your base car for comparison could be the weakest 86 in CT running on a bad batch of fuel - from there every other comparison would probably show gains.

@ dammond - dont get me wrong. I'm not saying you posting incorrect info or you are lying or anything. I'm just having a constructive discussion.

WRT the gear in which it was dyno'd, its clear from the speed that all the cars were done in the same gear. Can't trick gear ratios. That's a more accurate way of determining the gear used that looking at duration

Also, if the stock car was done on the same dyno, it seems all the readings are WKW

No way in hell a stock car would make 119FWKW at the coast unless its running on 3 cylinders or something

100% man, it was a good suggestion to at least have the stock graphs up too.

Why not just use the OFT 91tune? Isn't that equivalent to our 95octane?
