walked into sydney city toyota(who is run by toyota australia) and asked if the car was officially confirmed as coming here and he said "It definately is coming here 2012, next year but we are unsure on when in the year it will be released."

i had to make sure and asked if it was official and he said yes its official its definately coming here

wheels mag towards the front has a small section talking to a toyota exec and he says they want to keep it around 30 grand!!! Fingers crossed they cant keep it at that price!

Around $30k? I thought the Aussie dollar was pretty comparable to the U.S....can't see how it would be more expensive to import the FT-86 there than the U.S.

Probably cus we import most toyota aus vehicles from japan and government dips in a few times.. In the states I'm fairly sure your Toyota USA plant will make them.
