I do have a cat actually, only the header is aftermarket.
And yeah, E85 will pass sniffer tests without a cat.
No sure why you are calling me a douche. Thanks anyway.

Thanks for letting me know! I was confused for a little bit.

Maybe you should try coming to a FREE COUNTRY where I can do what I want to my car and not have to worry about my overreaching government telling me what I can and cannot do to my choice of wheels.......pending on state of residence of course lol
last line was sarcasm for those that didn't pick up on it
According to various parts of Section 203, all aftermarket catalytic converters must be EPA certified, and your car must have a gas conversion device of some manner. If not, both you and the installer are punishable of a Federal Offense by Section 205 (a). The operator's fine can be no more than $2,500 and the installation agency no more than $25,000.

So yeah your "freedom" is only because there is no $$ to enforce the laws on the books.

Thanks! I'll try to get some better vids up, I have a t3i I can try to use.

The popping is artificially enduced so to speak. I just edited my tune file with some negative timing at the lowest engine load. There a whole thread on it somewhere in here. I don't have the tune now though, it makes the car jerky when your off and on the throttle. Sounds cool as shit though, really impresses people for some reason lol.

Anyone have a UEL (Tomei/JDL/Revworks/OFH) paired with a cat-less front pipe and a Q300 (or similar) exhaust?

I have an OFH with nameless catted (not resonated) OP/DP combo and the perrin 2.5 CB. If you'd like a sound clip I can dig out my gopro and try to get some in-cabin driving around in the next couple days. I don't have a micover yet so I can't do external vids- so much wind noise you can't hear jack haha

Also, running (Mostly) catless, will still pass emissions just fine in IL, bags of douche or not, to whoever was concerned about emissions.

If you wouldn't mind that would be awesome. The Perrin 2.5 CB is pretty close to the Q300. A cold start video, a couple drive bys etc. would be great. Just trying to judge if it would be raspy that's all.

Thank you kindly!

No problem! I was going to take some video today but its so cold here (-2F) my gopro suction mount won't stay on, so once we get back up into 30F or so I'll get some vids in.

Header+front/overpipe(stock catback) enter yours

I'm running an open flash header with an mx-performance( Aussie brand) over pipe and invidia catted front pipe( all 2.5")

current stock CBE

Having a 2.5 inch MXP ( USA) exhaust fitted next week though.

Cold start the rear of the CBE rattles a little until it warms up then smooth sailing

hi there again!

I'm currently in the market now searching for a catted front pipe to pair with my tomei UEL and stock cat back. I was wondering if you could share more about your CNT front pipe. Mainly on the fitment, how is it?

Thanks!

Fitment was absolutely perfect, everything lined up, and it came with all hardware and gaskets. I can't recommend it enough! I plan on buying their catted version in the near future to help cut out some of the rasp though.

It's funny whenever there's a thread asking for, or about, stock oem catback exhausts..people can't help but post their aftermarket exhaust.
