That's because there is virtually no competition in the segment. They offer a unique product in the price point. If this was a hot category, they'd be all over ironing out the minor bugs. I might soon be getting a fifth tail light replaced.

lol. You are probably correct, competition usually benefits the consumer.


Sounds like a good excuse for a tail light mod.....tom's? or some other brand that hits your fancy.

The Toms look great except for the price. No point in tinting the OEMs, they'll just end up leaking and get denied warranty. I had the dealer document the multiple tail light replacement in the event they leak again after April '15 warranty end date. After that might just have to apply butyl tape at the seams.

Sounds like you are all over it. Wow, it's hard to believe that next August will be 3 years for me. I guess I should double check if my extended warranty covers those. I have had very minor condensation, but, nothing terribly concerning if it doesn't get worse.
