Bad encounters with other FRS/BRZ/86 owners? - Page 9 - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I've seen two in Flowery Branch where I live, one even in my neighborhood, which I'm not happy about because I wanted to be the cool kid on the block. Both are black, I saw the other comming off of Thurman tanner road, black and pretty modded up, I think it had gold rims if I'm not mistaken, an older guy in his late 40s 50s. He didn't wave or anything

I posted the exact areas, because maybe you're on this forum and we can go driving!

I had a run in with a black FRS not too long ago that had the most disgusting exhaust sound coming from it. I assume it was just straight piped to canister mufflers from the wicked fart sounds it was making even under little throttle. He followed my entire route home and it was pretty embarrassing.

There were some cars I ran into where I gave a wave/thumbs up and they don't acknowledge me like my car was never there lol

In my experience, most FRS/BRS owners are pretty chill. Yeah there is the occasional Dbag swerving around in traffic but nothing like what I have seen from BMW and MB owners.

Saw an Audi Q3 do that today, impressed with it's handling considering its height.

Starting to have more bad encounters.... Less waves and more "Honda glares" from other twin owners.... Idk if I like where this is going 😥

We get a mixed bag here... I wave or flash the lights at other 86s, and some ignore some and some smile/wave back. I'll just keep doing it for we still all drive a pretty special car!

I did laugh the other day - fetching my car from the tuner a school bus drove by and some kid screamed "cool car man" out the window. Thumbs up for taste kid.

I just got a 2013 FR-S and I was driving it to my apartment today and a BRZ owner pulled up beside me and laughed. His car appeared stock, so not sure why he was laughing. He took off at the light laying rubber. I guess he wanted to race, but that's not my thing. (shrug)

Whenever another twin owner pulls up next to me and tries to give the thumbs up/wave/ or initiate conversation I usually ignore them... Never understood why people do that. We have the same car. I get it. Move on.
