Got kicked out of my local Facebook 86 group after I sold my car. Had a Miata and really enjoyed it but was told to gtfo ***. Most of them were not the kind of people I wanted to associate with in the car scene anyway as they are all stance hard parkers with the exceptions of the few guys I see regularly at auto x or lapping days.

I am still part of the next closest major city's Facebook group and everyone is super nice and supportive of decisions.

FR-S/BRZ groups on facebook are pretty obnoxious and sad. So many irrelevant posts. Yesterday I saw two posts that had me looking for the group moderators so I could get them banned. For instance one guy was selling jewelry. And another post was that stupid stayfresh car care hawking his goods.

Not saying you shouldn't be included, just saying that there's so much bs on those things, I can't believe they kicked you out just because you don't have an FR-S.

Sold the car?
Moderator!
MODERATOR!!!!!!!
Please escort this man out of here.

Now since I am pretty sure that you didn't turn into one of those "twins suck" guys when you sold it then it is the Group's loss.

I say we ban you unless you track down SuberMan and get the latest suspension tuning advice from him.

How hard can it be to find an arrogant lawyer driving an twin in Calgary?

Isn't "arrogant" redundant in that sentence?

Just joking you passive lawyers out there

Recently tried to buy an exhaust off someone on a facebook group. Trying to negotiate a shipped price and he blocked me on facebook. I wasn't even low balling, and was ready to paypal!

You can simply say, "you're too low with what you expect me to ship it for, here is what I will do pricewise..." If it works you get paid, if not oh well. No need to block someone entirely, lol. One of the weirdest interactions trying to buy a part I have ever had.

This has happened a few times already. Anybody notice that when they are behind an 86/BRZ the owner seems to drive aggressively all of a sudden. I'm just cruising along and often they just take off.

Been noticing lots of new twin owners dont even wave or smile anymore. Makes me sad.

There I am waving my hand and smiling or giving the thumbs up and they just stare or purposely turn around. What gives?

I miss having random twin owners flash their lights at me multiple times or yell out, "nice car duuuuuuuuuu[de]" (by then we too far from one another).

Last encounter a guy just stared me down and seemed to grunt from a distance. 93960 area in a silver FRS.

haha if it were a corvette then it might sound/look cool in a way...but a basically corolla with a 2L engine taking off in front of you in 6th gear is funny hahaha

Waved to like 3 people already and got 2 waves back. The other guy had a "WTH" look on his face.
