Thanks this is already done as the map is in the OST release, its just the Rom Raider definition that is missing.
But its ok as I knew that it was based on the A01I I have edited the xml to reflect the 700I so that Rom Raider loads the map.
All is good now thanks .

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, has anyone compared a stock car vs OFTv2.0 93 stage 1? Just looking to see the overall gains though out the rpm band.

Openflash Tablet & BRZ 2016

Hello all,
Just sharing my experience with the Openflash Tablet and my new BRZ 2016.
As my tablet was running the latest software release and that my car was a 2016, probably among the first tablet user on a 2016 according to Shiv, he had to massage the original and the tune file quit a bit to get align... from what he told me it was hard work...

But the results are very very nice, the car runs smoother, throttle response is much much better and it is definitely pulling harder all the way to the red line. I climb a steep bridge on my daily commute and I can see now 1 to 1.5 L/100K less during the climb while on cruise control, very nice gas economy at cruising speed as well!!!

I just can't wait to get the header now!

So in case anyone had concerns with the latest software release, it is running very good!!

Thank you Shiv for your hard and very nice work!
Cheers!

Gonna follow up on JML and his post. This is my first post as well. Been snooping around these forums for a long time now and finally decided to join in.
Been rocking a borla UEL and Nameless 5" Axleback for a bit now. Just got OFT, and have been running the stage 2 v2 for a couple of days now.
Definitely smoother torque curve, but I'm not sure if it's yielding as much power as the stock tune (at least I think it was stock, but then again my OFT didn't build maps off of it). Been running 89oct straight gas. I switched to that about a year ago because I get waaay more torque and performance from it than I did from any e10.

Anyhow, I'm new to the tuning thing, and so I will be posting my logs in a few days when I'm closer to straight 92oct e10 (right now running 1/4 tank 89oct, 3/4 92oct), and when the car has learned the map. Any chance you guys could give me some feedback when I do?

Thanks to all, really great group you guys have going on here.

Just received my OFT and cannot wait for the weekend to begin messing around with it more. The default stage 1 map I applied tonight seemed to keep the car running at a lower RPM and reduced some of the bark I was getting in first and second. I guess I am going to have to grab some of the new maps, review the data and get back at it Friday.

Don't judge the tune for at least a day or so. Give it time to settle. Drive smoothly as you can for a day or so and you will then see what the tune settles down to.

Can anyone confirm that the tune will knock at high loads on lower octane?
I'm considering running 87 on the 91 tune because it doesn't have ethanol and I'm convinced I can squeeze 20hp out.

Not sure if your being serious here

If you run E85 (85% ethanol) which is about 105 you can get about 20hp on a stock car with appropriate tune, this is about double the gain you would get on 93 petrol

91 octane on 91 tune will have slight knock and be about 4hp or so less than running 93 on 93 tune. (you will get about 10hp or so on 93 with a tune on stock car)

Stock cars on stock tune knock quite a lot on 91 octane resulting in IAM about 0.5 or less and reduction in hp over running 93.

Getting these car to run on 87 octane would be a challenge without reducing power output considerably.

Ethanol is fine in these and most modern cars they are designed to run 10-15% ethanol fuels, ethanol burns clean and has a higher octane rating than pump petrol. Adding 10% ethanol to 87 petrol will get you to about 91 octane.

You need to run fuel with the correct octane rating ie 91 or above (this is what the manufacturer specifies), that it contains ethanol is not really an issue.

Their is no way your going to get gains by running a lower octane fuel regardless of wether it contains 10% ethanol or not.

In fact you will almost certainly get more performance on 91 with 10% ethanol than 87 straight petrol

have a read of the basic bolt on mods link below

Okay Thanks for the response. It's just been lingering in the back of my head. I swear I was getting more torque on the stock tune with straight 87...

Also, what effect would running the stage 1 tune have on a uel build? He uses aggressive timing to fill in the tq dip, so would it turn into a tq bump with uel headers?

this is what a stock car stock tune looks like on south africian 95 ron fuel which is about your 89 AKI fuel

http://datazap.me/u/steve99/south-af...0&data=2-20-28

The IAM ignition advance multiplier is down to 0.2 it should be 1 this means the ecu is pulling about 3 degree of timing across the entire rpm range.

The FLKC is knock this is pulling another -3 or so degrees out of the timing under load.

So about 6 degrees in total, that would be worth something like 10hp at the wheels, and your engine is having to sustain constant knock events.

run 93 if you can :-)

The cam timing required to smooth out torque dip is less agressive with UEL headers.

Both UEL and EL headers will smooth out dip with a tune but UEL does a better job.

unless your prepared to buy very expensive EL headers like ACE Header.

have a look in the BOLT ON MODS link below its all in their with dyno's ect
