I'm still on the fence about going with a 4" or 5" and keeping all other pipes stock. Does anyone have more input to share? Thanks!

I drove with the 3" axleback with 5" mufflers for a long time before Nameless finished my system. It's plenty loud when you get on it, but tame for regular driving. Still louder than stock my a lot. In fact, it sounds just perfect by itself. 2.5" and 5" mufflers produce a nice deep note that makes it sound great.

I swear, I've searched the boards and cannot find a good 4" or 5" mufflers video of the Nameless 2.5" axleback exhaust. Have you seen any? I drive my FR-S at least 60+ miles a day, so wonder if the 4" would be too loud and bother me for daily driving? Hmm, decisions. |

When I emailed Nameless, they said if I had any concerns about being too loud, to go with the 5". I've heard the 2.5" with 5" mufflers, and like the sound, but have been curious about the 4", but after hearing from them, I think I'll stick with the 5".

Only because I'm strongly considering buying one here soon...
Is a 2.5" setup with 5" mufflers the way to go here? Everything on my car is stock. After reading through pages in this thread it seems to be the preferred setup I think? I'm not planning on doing a turbo or putting headers/changing out mid pipes or anything like that. Would this setup be good for someone like me that wants a good quality sound? Thanks |

This is the exhaust that the car should have come with.

My 3" Nameless Headerback has some drone and rasp with a catless UEL header. I've also got the 3" Axleback with 5" mufflers. It's just way too loud, mainly on the inside with my mirrors shaking and windows shaking. I'm going to swap it out with a smaller pipe system to combat the rasp and noise as this one is designed for a turbo user.
Even with a high flow cat, two resonators, and the axleback, it's not enough to get rid of the rasp and drone. It's mainly due to the fact that it's 3" piping. Bummer because it took me ~3 months to have this exhaust made and now I'm swapping it out. Quality is superb as I'd expect nothing less from Nameless. I just took the chance of running N/A with a catless header knowing it would be loud. Some turbo owner will probably be very happy when I sell it to them. The 2.5" systems with the helmholtz resonator and high flow cat, along with the stock midpipe and 2.5" axleback with 5" mufflers are probably ideal for catless headers on an N/A setup. It still will be very loud though. Just a fair warning before anyone dives into making a purchase which they plan on having a catless header. |
