I looked under my car at the stock bushings and they like the might be tough to remove from the stock muffler (and put back on the new one). Any tips on getting those off and back on?

No, this won't void your warranty.

The stock bushings are pretty easy to get off since they bend a lot. Use a silicon spray or some soapy water if you need to lubricate it to make it easier. The polyurethane hangers are the difficult ones but even then with a little lubrication, they slide off as well.

The sound of these is less than the muffler delete but greater than the 5" mufflers. This option is the best for those who like a bit of volume to their exhaust but don't want the "race car" noise and are not planning to upgrade other portions of the exhaust. This option is also suitable for those who like a loud exhaust and are planning on upgrading their downpipe or their downpipe and overpipe.

5" Mufflers: The dimensions of these hand built mufflers are 5" diameter with a body length of 8" and offset inlet/outlet. These mufflers are the best option for a nice smooth exhaust note. The tone is nice and deep with volume being mellow with stock exhaust otherwise. When you decide to upgrade to an aftermarket downpipe or overpipe/downpipe combo, this exhaust really comes alive while remaining deep and smooth sounding. This axleback even keeps the volume down at a tolerable level with our catless header.

Off-set = deeper tone
Non Off-set = louder, less deep tone

4" mufflers with a header may introduce some unwanted sounds.
Thanks for your help Matt.

From your experience with both, what's better to get in regards to sound output... 2.5" or 3"? Or is their no difference?

I tried looking on the Nameless site and I didn't see any option for the offset/non offset... Am I missing something?

Lastly, is the 4" muffler what most people are going with? I don't plan to do any further upgrades beyond the axleback so from what it sounds like I'm thinking the 4" is the way to go.

Thanks again for your help.

3"

I have the 3" and compared it to a friend who has the 2.5"
Deeper and slightly louder

Just spray some silicone into where the mounts go into the rubbers and start them off with a big screwdriver. They just slide off and back on is even easier.

the 4" muffler option is centered and the 5" muffler option is the offset version. If you don't plan on going past the axleback or getting a DP/OP, go with the 4". If you intend on getting header, get the 5" mufflers offset.

I originally liked the sound of the 4" ones but after using the 2.5" one for a couple days before I sent it back because the order was wrong, I'd have to say I prefer the sound of the offset.

The 3" system is probably a bit louder like @Zgrinch said. Ultimately, a 3" system will be pretty loud, so I'd suggest going offset on the 3" axleback as well.

Why do they call it offset? Been trying to figure it out.

The pipe going into and out of each muffler is offset from the center.

For those that are running the 3" axleback, are you still running the stock 2.25" midpipe?
Even further, those that are running the 3" axleback and 2.5" OP/DP, still running the stock midpipe?

I only ask because on the Nameless site it talks about the 3" axleback being for those with plans of FI but if you are still running a 2.25" midpipe that doesn't really make a lot of sense to me since you'll still have the major restriction being the midpipe?

Also, Nameless I believe were talking about fabbing up some prototype catback designs for testing when they were coming back with initial results for the header. Any word on this or was it abandoned?

Youll want to run the stock or 2.5" over/front pipe and mid pipe until you go fully go fi otherwise you'll loose too much back pressure and cause the car to be slower. The 3" Axleback on an NA engine is fine because you have the over and front pipe supplying the needed back pressure.
