j/k man, it is well worth the wait, I promise. Even the short time I used the 2.5" Axleback, it sounded amazing and you'll see the quality with your own eyes instead of pictures. The welds are gorgeous and it looks nothing like any other exhaust for our car. The tips are a perfect size too. Anything bigger would look goofy and anything smaller would look like the too tiny stock tips.

Lol, I know man Just think by the time they ship your new one they will be ready to take orders for the 4-2-1 header Just kidding...

Once they get their own bender things will start moving much quicker. Hopefully they will get a CNC bender so they can further cut down on production time by letting the computer do complex bends so they need fewer welds and cuts.

Would nameless do the welding if I sent them the jdm tips? do they charge extra for this?

The only mods on my 86 are a Perrin drop filter[just added the silver PERRIN name and it looks very cool] and the 2.5" Nameless axleback with centred mufflers.
The torque dip is only from 3,100rpm to 4,100rpm now i've clocked 5,500km. That makes 4th gear perfect for overtaking from 100kph where it's pulling 4,100rpm and ready to go all the way to 177kph if needed.
STD and SAE with zero smoothing. Only mod 2.5" Nameless offset axleback.

Please tell me the first chart is the one with the axleback fitted?
Hopefully it is and next question is did it get an ECU tune to get that gain?

My son[35] drove my 86 for about 30min yesterday and thought the volume and tone of the exhaust was perfect. He was also genuinely taken aback by the power, which he couldn't get over, combined with the response. It was interesting being the passenger and feeling it pull you back into the seat more acutely than when you are driving.
I have no intention of going turbo, I like it too much the way it is but I will consider getting the Nameless headers to enhance what is already one sweet car.

Those are the same run file, one plot shows SAE correction the other STD correction.

So no base map to compare the gains?

I would say you won't find any gains with the axleback alone.

I'm sure that Nameless said the only gain of any note was helping to fill the torque dip. That's why I mentioned that mine starts to take off at just over 4,000rpm which i'm sure is lower than it was before I fitted the axleback. Unless it's taken almost 6,000km to free up that power below 5,000rpm which doesn't make much sense?

If there's anyone to ask, @Jason@Nameless

That is my baseline. I figured an axleback would only have minute gains or none at all. I'm going back to that dyno eventually with the rest of the exhaust installed.

I haven't had much luck there. I don't use facebook and emails have gone astray. Anyway, it's only of interest. I'm extremely pleased with the way my 86 performs with just these minor mods.

Yeah, they're really really busy. I just find it hard to believe you get much horsepower from it because the front part of the exhaust is so restrictive.

Well there will be some performance increase from dropping a static 7 pounds. That and all the new vroom vroom sounds probably make for a seemingly tangible performance increase.

If I could get some axle stands to suit the pinch welds I would fit the down pipe with HF cat that I have, also the replacement overpipe from FA20 club when it arrives. If my 86 goes harder than others it can only be from small gains from the axleback and Perrin drop in filter, plus the fact that I did the quick run in method and luck.
I seem to be in a minority by being wrapped with the way my engine performs but it gives me a bigger buzz that my WRX did and aurally is in another class.
