I don't think the sound tube makes a difference. Soundproofing the trunk with some dynamat would totally help. There was one person that saw a 9 decibel jump in sound by removing his spare tire and jack stuff, so we know that has a big impact on this car. I think the car just has very little sound dampening overall, since several straight thru exhausts are having this issue. I believe this system to be better than most imo, because it does keep that stock resonator, and has a high flow cat (with the downpipe). Add the optional helmholtz resonator, and they are working hard at addressing it.

(ignore the trolls that are clearly in this thread after having bought the competition's exhaust, hah. 500 posts with a join date only a month ago?)

Lol I spoke with John at nameless and he told me I did not need the helmholtz since I was keeping the stock resonator and therefore did not include it with my order. Should I still get it? Or just take off the high flow cat and leave just the axleback?

I ordered with Helmholtz, so maybe wait for mine, listen to it and then decide.

I made a good suggestion that would be cheap and easy to do.

I did read it, thanks! Just not sure of any good places around my area that would do that without asking for an insane amount of money, even though it is a simple fix. I'm going to insulate the trunk under the stock trunk carpet mat. Two layers and see if that helps for now. Thanks Sierra.

To get a muffler fiited into the midpipe would be a quick cheap job in a muffler shop. They just have to look at where they can get enough clearance to fit it in, drop the mid pipe out. Put the straight through[Lukey?] next to that spot, mark the pipe, cut out that section, fit the muffler and put it back on. $150? It will definitely quieten it down a bit and if you like it you can always get the mid pipe reproduced in 2.5"SS to match the others at a later date complete with the matching mod.

If you wanted to go back to stock the mid pipe could easily be put back to stock with a pipe sleeved in.

I would be very interested in the result if you try this because it sounds[sic] like i'll be in the same boat.

I'll check Wednesday night at our next meet and see if anyone knows of any good muffler shop and go check it out. Sounds like it will work! Thanks!

I spoke with Ryan yesterday, but he hadn't been able to talk to jason/John because they had been busy working on an FRS suspension. I guess he'll probably get back to me today.

BUT with that being said, it would help if all of you guys who have concerns call them too and talk to them. One thing is to hear one customer asking questions, and a different one is hearing 3-4 doing the same. I'm sure if you guys called and raised your concerns, the process would happen faster. So again, I ask everyone with concerns to call them up too and ask, they are amazing people and will be more than willing to help and answer all concerns.

Just responded to their email regarding the GB delay. I'll see what they say.
