Good morning guys. Due to my back going out early last week, my dad installed the axleback with high flow cat yesterday. Hearing the car drive to and away from me sounds perfect and amazing. Now driving inside the car, it sounds a lot louder than what it does outside and seems to build up a little pressure inside the cabin. Anyone know why? Love how it sounds outside but not inside the car. I can get used to it but don't want to. Oh and I still have the stock sound tube, if it makes any difference.

I have the same set up sitting in the spare bedroom waiting for the car to arrive in December and I've thought about this same situation as you have found yourself in.
You have 2 choices and both involve fitting another muffler[straight through] in the mid pipe.
The easy and cheap way is to get one fitted into the existing pipe, at least that will prove the worth of the idea. If it works ok then you might want to get that pipe made up in 2.5" with an expansion box and that extra muffler.
I think those 2 rear mufflers are just too small compared with the opposition.

Try disconnecting and capping the sound tube to see if that helps.

Is the system loud enough where the neighbors will always hear it coming and going?

There is very little sound deadening in the rear of the car, which could also be the cause.

Good to hear. I have the regular (vs. offset) axleback on order and was concerned about it being too loud, like some Harleys. When I'm inside I can often hear my neighbor's Harley coming down the road, which is a bit too loud for me.

do you have your spare tire removed by any chance? I've found that when the spare is out it can be much louder in the cabin. The spare does a really good job of keeping the in-cabin sound levels in check.

I would be down for the group buy if a cutoff date is set so that everybody can get their exhaust in a timely manner.

I'm thinking this is the main cause of it. I've got the same problem, but with full on headers as well, and I'm hearing the Vivid system is crazy loud as well in the cabin, a well as other systems. Sounds like overall, exhausts are louder in cabin than outside. It's the car, I think...

Yeah starting to get used to it but still not sure. Outside it isn't anywhere near as loud. Love the outside side but hate the noise inside the cabin. Any way to soundproof the trunk? Does the sound tube make a difference?

This inside the cabin noise is not a sign of a well designed system. Whats the helmholtz do here?
