WATKINS GLEN TRACK DAY 4/27/15:

I had a great time and learned a lot throughout the runs. Having already been to the track last year, my instructor saw me fit to start practicing track lines and also shared some secret marks and lines he uses. The most exciting moment had to be passing a new Porsche Boxer GTS that REALLY didn't want me to pass him.

Auto-cross day! I ended up placing 1st in my class (STX) and 7th overall. Two of the 7 that beat me overall were shifter carts. Pretty happy with that since autocross has never been my favorite thing. FYI I was told at the end of the runs that aero is not allowed in STX but my times and results would still stand seeing as they didn't catch it and the fact that it probably gave me zero advantage in second gear. lol. Next event I will take the aero package off for rules sake.

All numbered up

My friend David's FRS

The photographer on duty took some good pictures too.

The RPF1s I purchased did not come with center caps. So I made my own. I think they look really good.

Just found this rule:
A. Pedal cover kits and other interior cosmetic accessories may be
added. “Dress-up” items such as chrome dipsticks and non-standard
filler caps are permitted, provided they serve no other purpose.

Lol. That made no difference whatsoever. I will look into that one.

I was a little nervous with the carbon fiber canards anyway. If I hit a cone with one the results would be bad. I will defiantly take the aero off for the next event but the other stuff will stay on until some one says something.

A whole new pedal is not a cosmetic mod.

A friend took a high quality shot of my car at this past weekends cars and coffee.

I met some cool guys and we decided to go check out a local rallycross. It is a weird day when the FRS is the biggest car in the group.

Really liking your build. I was thinking of doing something similar in regards to the splitter + canards, looks fantastic on your car.

I have 17x9 +35 RPF1 with 245/40/17 Hankook RS3s. Tracked my car on both stock suspension and Tein Street Flex.

No rubbing issue whatsoever.

I like them a lot and they were easy to install. Unfortunately, the fit isn't great. I did a TON of measuring to make sure they were both in the same spot. One would fit, and the other one would have a gap in between the canard and the bumper. After an hour of fussing around I put them on where they fit best. So one is an inch higher than the other.....it annoys me every day and I am planning on fixing it somehow. Even if it means buying another set and seeing if they fit better. The install is just 3 bolts or rivets on each side...Super easy

Got it, they're definitely on the list of things to get . What made you go with the FT86 splitter? The total area looks larger than the APR splitter but IMO the APR splitter looks much nicer. What did you notice about your car's behavior after you put the splitter on?
