Huh. Guess I'll have an easier time getting rid of my old S14 Silvia K's calipers (same as z32) when I go evo X brembos up front.

Learn about the various 300z calipers first. You will need the ones for the 30mm rotors I'd bet based on the 30mm LGT rotor width, but those are common enough, just make sure. Based on the pic, Eikond has the aluminum ones, which are lighter and harder to find than the iron ones.

What's the swept area like for the 300z spec pads on those rotors? They were for 280mm rotors IIRC originally so I'm curious how well the pad matches the larger disc radius.

Great questions jritt and dave.

I'm not an engineer by trade so I won't be able to provide a professional response. However I have considered each of these things. I'm traveling at the moment but i will share more tonight when i get the chance

Thanks, I actually did check. I want the 90-92.5 30mm calipers, preferrably the aluminum ones.

You want 91 to 92.5. 90 had 26mm.

I have also heard that iron calipers were better for race purposes. They are 11 lbs each vs. 6. Still lighter than the 14 lbs stock.

Correct, but the 90 twin turbo had the aluminum 30mm calipers.

The NA and TT are the same caliper except for 90. 90 the TT was the 30mm aluminum, NA was 26mm aluminum. 92.5-96 are all 30mm iron.

A good find for those looking for something between stock and STI brembos...
Did you do the rears as well? Or just the fronts?

Thank you.. That is EXACTLY what I was after.. Something close to Brembo performance but for much less money. This setup would not be optimal for a full purpose track car or similar.. Those people are going to buy a professional BBK. But for weekend warriors on a budget, I think this is a nice affordable option.

I think there is some additional research to be done to validate the performance.. ie.. brake bias changes due to piston size, etc.. I know the Subaru 4-pots have been done successfully on a BRZ/FRS already, and these should be about the same impact.

I will do the rears. I have the calipers already. I just need a set of brackets from KNS Brakes and some lines and pads. Just have to save some pennies to order the final parts. Hopefully in the next month or so..

The WRX 4 pots suck. Not saying these are comparable but the WRX setup shifts bias towards the back.

You may have meant the STI full setup though
