At my last and 1st autocross there were a number of 100000 dollar plus porsches (gt4,gt3,gt3rs and boxster spiders and your usual carerra s and caymans.). Out of all those cars the 4 fastest times were driven by an experienced driver in a well set up brz with no major engine mods.
I knew then that I had to have one!!!!
My 1st autocross day I ran 20th in a field of 65 and my last "fun run" time would have placed me 11th.

My turbo while a joy to drive is heavy and understeer happy not to mention very expensive to maintain.

Anyway here's what I found with the list of most mods. Let me know what you all think. The owner is a very accomplished track guy and routinely bests the fastest cars at my "soon to be" home track The Ridge Motorsports in shelton wa.
I'm so excited and hope that these forums are as welcoming and as helpful as Rennlist and 6speed have been for me in the porsche community (although I'm sure it will be).

Her is the list of current mods. Any suggestions on future would be great

Welcome! The community is great. There are a few that can be a bit rough around the edges but once you know who they are you can see that it's all well intended advice. I'm not big into autocross yet myself so I'll leave that critique to the professionals... The forums are loaded with info I'm sure you'll be able to find what you need with the search feature and even if you can't someone will be able to help you out when you get to the point of asking.

Hello everyone, just joined the site recently after my 06 VW GTI got totalled by a drunk driver and put me back on the market for a new car , i've loved the style of the twins ever since I first set sights on them and between a raise coming up,insurance pay out and tax return it looks like now is the time.

I've got plenty of questions before I join the crowd while waiting for the funds which is hopefully sooner than later, my backup 01 mustang gt project car doesn't really understand what MPG is...

Welcome, and looking forward to you joining the family. We have an opening for Weird Uncle that just opened up.

Do plenty of searching around here and ask your questions around the forum. You may find coming from a GTI that it doesn't have the same oomph as the little turbo L4 you had there, but it has enough to be fun when you need it to be, and domesticated enough for normal driving, too. These cars make you work for the speed, but it's when the road stops going straight that you really get to enjoy what it can do.

Hopefully you're physically ok following the loss of the GTI. Be sure to post in here again once you've got your twin in hand.

Hello everyone. I picked up a frs so I thought I'd join the club. I haven't been into cars for years. I have a e30, got into modding it and ruined it. I'm going to try not to make the same mistakes with the frs.

Hello everyone! I just picked up my new FRS last weekend (she's a 2013 10 Series, if you were curious), and I'm loving her. I joined the forum in hopes of learning more about cars in general as I'm still a newb to the world of cars (as far as what's under the hood goes), and figured this was the perfect place to do so.

Here's some pictures. Cheers mates. C:

This may be off topic, and if so I apologize in advance.
I'm relatively new to the forum and have been looking to purchase a new 2017 Toyota 86 for the past several months, finally ready to buy.
I had hoped to find a base model (manual trans, NO factory dealer or port installed options) in the color of my choice but have recently noticed the inventory for the entire South East FL region seems pretty slim (there are currently <10 total cars on the entire southeast.buyatoyota.com site available, compared with dozens just a few months back).
If I hold out can I expect to find an 86 in my color of choice? Or is the 2017 production run coming to an end?
Also, regarding price, I've been quoted (on a $27,145 MSRP base) $23,798 + $800 dealer "doc" fee (not including tax, registration, etc. -- that outrageously expensive doc fee unfortunately seems common in south east FL). Can I consider the $23,798 (+ fees/tax) quote a fair price?
Thank you for any advice re: the above.

Hello everyone!
Long time lurker, finally decided to sign up for the forum since I just picked up my FR-S yesterday. Red 13', under 30k miles, garaged for most of its life (good thing too, was from SF, luckily the clutch was in good shape too). Only thing previous owner did to it was swap the badging out.
Know northern California has a big 86 community so I'm looking forward to possibly meeting up with some people!
I'm also looking forward to spending a lot of time on here considering I already have a list of mods I plan on putting into it.

Hi guys!
I've been looking through the ft86 club forums for some time now and finally made an account. I've had my beautiful Stella (2015 Scion FR-S) for a little over 2 months now and I'm absolutely loving it! I'm from St. Louis so if there's anyone in the area hmu if you want to go for a cruise I have very few mods done to the car, but have several things in mind I want to add to it. Can't wait to get to know everyone in the FR-S/GT86 community!

I would expect the 17 production will be winding down soon. That is a good price in your region (like you said they are fairly scarce).

Smile Hey!

Hey, how's it going?

I am a long time lurker, and this past Saturday I was lucky enough to find a pristine condition 2013 FR-S, and I am proud to say I am the owner of a new (to me) Firestorm FR-S, I've always wanted one of these ever since I saw the first one back in 2012 and now I own one I am so excited for the years to come.
