Thanks for your service man and good luck over there.
The look and reviews from people about how much fun they are to drive are what sold it for me... Now if only I could test drive one in Africa . Situation is a bit complicated though. I'm here till April, then go back to Germany until October. I'll find out my next base in august-ish, which will be in the states. I live in PA, so I'm going to fly home and buy the FR-S completely foregoing the idea of a rental car and drive it to my next base. One thing I've learned from being stationed overseas and going home is that rental cars are damn expensive.

Hello from Iowa!

Hi Everyone!

Long time lurker and soon to be owner, here.

I own a couple of Subaru's now. I've got a 2013 XV Crosstrek, and a 2005 Baja Turbo. My other cars include a 92 Acura Integra (Project Car) and a lightly modded 2008 Pontiac G8 GT.

I am planning on selling the G8 off in the spring, and using the proceeds from that to put towards a new BRZ.

The Baja was my first Subaru. 110,000 miles later, and its still the most reliable car I had ever owned. I love it! Got the XV a year ago October. Its great on Gas, and I have had 0 issues with it as well.

I'm looking for a fun car to drive to replace the G8 and Integra. The Integra has seen better days. I've rebuilt a lot of it already, and it handles great, but she is getting tired now. The G8 is loaded with LT's, SLP Catback, Vararam Intake and an HSRK. I've owned her new since 08. It's great in a straight line, but I miss the connected feeling with the road.

Anyways, I hope to get them sold, and I look forward to be an active member here.

another new owner

been hunting and pricing these since I first saw the commercial for a new lightweight rwd car (the first one I remember in quite a while). Been lurking for a while too, like dolomite up above me. Mainly at the turbo and power options.

I have been driving my 93 240sx for the last 11 or 12 years, always wanted to turbo it, but too many things needed updating to make it worth it, so I was happy when I saw the twins come out.. though I would have preferred a more simple/stripped out car with a more normal engine, one I could do the maintenance on without special service tools, (honestly, an inline fuel filter is too much to ask for? instead of dropping the exhaust, and pulling the fuel pump with "ST 42099CA000" as per the service shop manual someone kindly posted here and I don't even want to think about the plugs) but enough of my b1tch1ng.

On to my new baby. I bought it yesterday.. the link might not last long but I haven't taken pictures yet:
http://fivestarnissan.com/preowned-i...1D1720189.aspx

I think my waiting paid off. One owner who got it in July but couldn't keep up with the payments. 6 speed manual Asphalt FR-S, Factory tint, spoiler, mudflaps, bespoke, with invidia catback installed and original exhaust came with. I talked them down to $20,500 plus doc, tax, tag, title

I haven't made it through the owners manual yet, but I found some rubber plugs in the glove box which the dealer, or first owner didn't even mess with, and after reading the problems section I found out what they were and put them in, so you can add another to the list of dealers who didn't install them(still wondering if I need to put any tape or plugs over top of the shock holes in the trunk) I have tried to read up and see what needs to be done, but this place has a lot of info, so if anyone knows of a thread with a comprehensive list of to-do's for the proud new owner, I would much appreciate it.
I'll just end by saying thanks for all the great info you guys provide... I just hope I won't need too much of it if you know what i mean

Hi! New here, I purchased my Asphalt FR-S this past saturday and picked it up on monday. Car had 7 miles when I drove off the lot and currently sits at 114 looking forward to breaking the car in completely. Being a longtime lurker this forum convinced me on the twins over the genesis coupe. So much fun on curved roads and corners.

I definitely have to agree with the curved roads statement. Even switching lanes on the highway are fun.
