Shedd22's 2014 SWP BRZ
So I've been reading a bunch of other members' journals and figured I might as well make one.
I bought my 2014 SWP Limited BRZ in April of 2014. I initially had black or red in mind and I never ever, ever thought I'd buy a white car. I ended up going to the dealership and they had a red one and a white one out front. I automatically fell in love with the white one and the way it shines in the sun, so I test drove that one and took it home a week or so later. As for modifications, I didn't do anything with it for the first two weeks but on the third week I started to do some small things. My first mod the Perrin front plate relocation kit because ain't no one wanna drill in their bumper: My next "mod" was an 86 sticker that I put in my back windshield: The next two upgrades were to the interior. I got rid of the factory floor mats and got some Weather Tech ones and also added a little more red to the interior: I decided to stay with the color mod theme and ordered a red Perrin inlet to replace the OEM inlet and sound tube combo and painted some of the engine bay to match. Goodbye old: Hello new: The next thing about the car that I desperately wanted to change was the exhaust I ordered the 2.5" Perrin Resonated Catback because it doesn't sound overly obnoxious and it looks beautiful. It sat in my house for about 3 weeks before I put it on because I wasn't able to drive to my friends house (he has a lift) until then. Unfortunately I was too excited to take picture during the install, but I have these afterwards: Now for my most current mod, and something that also cosmetically bothered me about the car. The antenna...enough said? I think so. I ordered a BeatSonic Sharkfin antenna and it arrived in late June. Below are some before and after shots (taken with my phone, I apologize): I'll keep updating this as I continue to do new mods. I'll also be putting together a list of future mods and I'll add installation details to everything I have/will put on in case anyone is on the fence about purchasing any of the mods or just needs more assistance on how to install. Stick around and feel free to give feedback. |

Looks good so far. Love the SWP.
Initially, I didn't want a white car either (wanted a ultramarine FRS) but when I saw it in person and got them to waive the extra fee to get it in whiteout I was sold. |

Thanks! It is a nice color. I sometimes see a WRB one and find myself staring, but then I remember mines just as pretty.

Update:
Sometime within the next few weeks I'll hopefully be getting my windows tinted. I'd like to go 35% on the side/back windows and leave the windshield as is. The legal limit in Ohio is 50% on side window and the cops in my area are sticklers from what I hear. If I have to do 50% is it worth it in your opinion? |

Exhaust videos! There can never be enough exhaust video. Cruising inside and fly bys, fap fap fap
I love how deleting the kind of pointless resonator makes the engine bay look so open for turbo

Haha, Ill work on exhaust videos this weekend. I agree, the first thing I did when I took out the sound generator tube was texted my friend and said "Plenty of room for a turbo!" It might be in my future.

UPDATE:
Within the next few months here are the mods I'm looking at: Exterior: - Llumar window tint - Black Enkei Raijin Wheels 18" - Michelin Pilot Super Sports - STI aero kit (although I'm not 100% on this..I like some more of a subtle side skirt than the STI's so I'm open to any ideas) - Plastidiping the "Subaru" and "BRZ" on the trunk - LIGHTLY shade my tail lights and headlights Interior: - Covering the silver interior pieces with something besides silver. I've been seeing some carbon fiber ones that other people have which I'd normally think would look tacky..but I'm pretty fond of them. If anyone has any of the above that they are willing to sell, PM me!
