Great thread. You have to find a controlled environment and turn off all TC and VSC to really learn what this car will allow at the limits. Once you have dealt with that then aggressive street turns and "ramps" will be that much easier to know what you have to do if you have a tight situation arise in a quick moment on the "street".

This car can be pushed to the extreme anytime you want, if you know what to expect.....

Interesting in the wet, can get downright scary on snow or ice....

One thing though, this chassis is designed to be exciting AND forgiving, quite clever really. The tail steps out as if the car has lots of power oversteer but it doesn't so it is quite easy to catch unless you have no idea how to do that.

I recommend you find a "skidpad" (some parking lots get empty on weekends) on a wet or especially a snowy day. Switch off the traction/stability control (press the button for 5 seconds) and explore the car.

With stock tires the handling in the wet will be instructive and you'll easily catch on to what you need to do. On snow or ice you'll need at least all season tires and probably snow tires to actually get the car to drive.

My BRZ on high performance snow tires can be so incompetent in the snow I end up laughing at it. I've changed some of the chassis for this reason and can't wait for winter to try them out: Bilstein HD (B6) and I cut one half inch out of the rear bump stops to increase damper travel before the damper hits the bump stop.

I haven't even been able to try the new suspension out in the wet yet.

For normal driving the stability control and traction control make driving pretty much idiot proof as long as you remember that the tires only have so much grip and the traction control and stability control cannot generate grip. Go over the limits of the tires and you're on your own.
