Had the car since March and finally got condensation in my passenger side taillight. Reading through this thread makes it seem like they haven't fixed the problem with a new housing, just keep replacing them?

Every other major car company has figured out how to seal taillights... come on Subaru!

I know so many Subaru people that love to get on their soap-boxes and sing out to the world about Subaru's reliability but I just don't see it. I have a friend that talks about how reliable Subaru is but his car has under 100k and he has already replaced the engine and transmission as well as many other parts.

I'm at the dealership for my 7500mi service. I reported all my issues including the tail light condensation and I said I could wait on replacing the tail lights because it seems the issue still comes back, but they insisted the new tail lights properly correct the issue. So we'll see.

I was told today by a Toyota serviceman that engineers are currently working on a redesign of the gasket and so they received a noticed to not replace any taillights until that redesign is complete and the new gaskets are available. Seems like a legitimate statement. He said to call back in 2 weeks to check.

Any word on this for BRZs?

I have had my BRZ for about 4 weeks now and just saw some condensation in the driver's side rear taillight the other day.

Does Subaru have a reliable replacement yet and how hard are they to get to replace under warranty?

I believe some have with mixed results. My bet is that you risk warranty issues by doing that. No problems since last fix, but that doesn't mean it's fixed either. Let dealer worry about it.

So it has been close to 2 months, not much rain and only a couple car washes since the replacements were installed. So far so good, no water so far.

I have an 04/13 build date BRZ since June and my tail lights are fine. It's also parked outside 24/7 through storms too. My DRLs have slight condensation though.
