Just tell her you're taking it out to run some errands. For several hours.

Out in the twisty canyons/mountains.

You really think she would believe that?

Oh, not in a heartbeat!

But she should just nod knowingly and say "have fun!".

Yes and no. Good quality rods and pistons should come weighted exactly the same from the manufacturer, which mine were. I weighed them my self on a very accurate gram scale to verify this.

The FA20 crank is already internally balanced from the factory and on a flat four, what goes left, goes right as the engine spins. So the left bank cancels out or equlizes the right bank and so on when rotating.

So yes you need to verify rod and piston weights but no the crank does not need to be spun and balanced with bob weights like on a V8 engine.

Another problem, got the machined rods back from Brian Crower and the damn pins won't fit. Back to the machine shop. Why in the hell can't anyone do anything right?

Supertech informs me all the pistons in stock were not machined or finished correctly. And The whole batch is being over nighted back to the factory overseas to be corrected and as soon as the 1st set is corrected it will be over nighted back to me. Yes I'm disappointed, yes I will miss my next TRD Cup race. But Supertech is doing the best they can under the circumstances.

Heres the Supertech piston next to the stock piston and you can clearly see the Supertech skirt is about a quarter of an inch longer than stock.

Why not just go CP? They're local, and the pistons are made locally.
