For my V1, I just used the concealed power outlet on the firewall, and ran a hidden cord behind the interior trim to a spot next to the rearveiw mirror. See page 30 of the document available here. Smooth as silk, and properly switched with the ignition.

you do not need to go all the way to the fuse box for ignition power. you can tap the source from inside the cabin from the cig. lighter or radio.

V1 sells the concealed display kit if you dont already have it

Direct-Wire Power Adapter
Item 20305

and

if you have it and your bringing it from another car you can just order the

Wiring Harness Connector
Item 20310

or just pick it up at a electronics store such as fry's or radioshack

I can't find a DIY on removing the radio surround/passenger side dash panel (the 2 pieces with textured mesh on the FR-S or silver on the BRZ). I don't want to break any clips and remember reading someone dropped fasteners down behind the dash panel when working on these pieces and had to order new ones. It's a seemingly simple thing to work on but I prefer to not be pulling on these pieces blindly hoping things don't snap/fall into the abyss.

It's a 7/16 if I'm not mistaken allen key for both drain and fill. Jack up and use jackstands front and rear to have car leveled. Unscrew the fill bolt and then the drain plug, watch it drain. Once drained get your quart, you'll need 1.2 quarts, use a little bottle pump sold at amazon to pump the fluid from your quart into your differential. Pump fluid till it drips out the diff, bolt back in. Clean your mess and you're done.
