2018 Nissan 370z Series.Yellow?

http://blog.caranddriver.com/2018-ni...copy-required/

"An impending 50th birthday is not a celebration most people want to hurry along, as it brings with it offers to join the AARP and, often, one’s first colonoscopy. It’s different, though, for automotive nameplates, which must be why Nissan is celebrating the Z’s 50th birthday a couple of years early with the 2018 370Z Heritage Edition."

Special shade of yellow paint job, yellow interior stitching, yellow interior bits... It's like Nissan saw the BRZ Series.Yellow debut and thought "We should do that too!... but not change anything else, and call it an Anniversary edition even if we are a year off...and practically did the same thing in 2005 for the 35th anniversary"

Yep, like OP said they used the FRS/86/BRZ "Special" Edition formula!

I'll say it does look pretty good though, now that they've gotten rid of the catfish maw.

This just makes me yearn for a new Z. C'mon Nissan!

What about a 3000 pound, RWD coupe with a 2.4L turbocharged 4 cylinder? Modern 240Z.

FWIW the 35th AE and Track model 350z's came with a revised engine (VQ35DE "Rev Up") in 2005. Compared to the base models, they had a higher 7000 RPM redline, variable exhaust valve timing, revised ECU, revised intake plenum, revised internals, etc. They made 300 hp vs. 287 hp on the base models.

Agree the heritage edition 370z is cosmetic upgrades only though. Time for a new (hopefully lighter) 370z.

Now if they would just get rid of that stupid big bloody door handle!
I know it is a petty thing to pick on but every single time I see that monstrosity slapped on the sides of the car a cringe a little.

Maybe they could put on some marketing-speak and convince us that the door handles create downforce.

If it works for the TRD fender garnish...

I feel like they could still go with a metal design...just not so large it looks like you have a brake caliper bolted to the door.

I thought 86 looked like a frog because of its rear... until I saw this car.

Gosh, so unappealing and probably just as boring (if not more) as the '17 I test drove.
