Same. I would try Shell if you have a station nearby, I've had good luck with Shell, it's more knock resistant than Chevron in my experience, don't know about 76.

Better fuel could fix your problem but its still likely you're gonna have to pull timing, I haven't seen anyone that has run 91 and not have had to edit the timing tables.

So the 91oct OTS map shouldnt be as aggressive we think?

Even the stock tune using 91 you will get knock and your iam will be down arround 0.6 this is ecu's normal behaviour to coping with 91 when its tuned for 93. Its not going to blow up but will result in reduced power and torque and likely economy.

looks like your current 91 fuel is a low grade 91.

switching to a "better" 91 brand would be best option.

If you want to stay with that fuel and want to have iam at 1 then you will need to modify your timing map to accomodate that fuel.

what is the whole fucking point of 91 again? To reduce carbon emissions? Meanwhile it is killing my MPG, I average 23 right now.

Sounds like there is no real solution here except to either switch to e85 or have the OTS file modified. Or just live with it...

Its cleaner for the environment.

E85 is a good option, however if you take the time to read about tuning pulling timing isnt such a hard feat.

Reflash your tune (this resets IAM to 1) and start logging and go for a cruise, let the ECU learn a bit then maybe do some WOT pulls & you'll be able to see where the ECU begins to pull timing but from your current log its 3600 to 5000 RPM however there could be more knock elsewhere when your IAM is starting at 1.

will disconnecting the battery achieve the same affect (reset IAM)?
